1) As the years go by in the game, my relationships with all the countries get worse and worse. Even if I support their governments, it doesn't help much. The casus belli against me increases for no reason. Even in my calm Finland game. How does this work exactly?
2) What I really want to do is become an arms dealer. But in the Shattered World scenario, the countries in Europe don't declare war on each other. Even though their relations are terrible. Similarly, the fragmented American nations don't go to war much. I only see meaningless wars. Exactly how long after the game starts do these wars start? A year has passed, but there is no European war.
3) The profitability of the economic resources in the game is very low. The production cost of most products is higher than the purchase cost. Even if there is a fluctuation, it does not matter much. Therefore, I cannot develop my economy by producing a resource. I wonder if the sales price increases over the years? I do not understand this.
4-) Or what difficulty settings do I need to change for it to work this way? When I change the AI attitude to passive, the countries' views of me improve, yes, but I don't know if their relationships with each other improve as well. Volatility settings are at their highest. I'm playing on easy diplomatic difficulty.
Thanks.

1) Depending on the sandbox and the settings, the AI will naturally get more militant towards the players country.bursa778 wrote: ↑Jan 03 2025 1) As the years go by in the game, my relationships with all the countries get worse and worse. 2) I'm not sure if shattered world naturally has more war until a couple of years in (time for relations to change enough). You can try setting higher volatility if you want more wars (same in any sandbox or scenario).
3) Internal sales tends to be the biggest driver of the economy, I've found that keeping prices low, helps keep the economy growing as it increases overall demand from the market, eventually this tends to push up the price of the goods, without actually having to export more.
4) Passive will generally prevent wars from happening, although I'm not sure what the exact effect would be of setting both passive and high volatility as they are really opposite extremes of each other.
