China' s economy in 2020 scenario
It's impossible for me to raise the gdp/c of the Chinese state, i have tried everything. Even getting loans to boost the economy with an 18b deficit every day... Any thoughts? It's like china is locked to be poor in this scenario.

Congrats your one of the few bringing up this issue. Sadly its not enough. 5 years spend discussing how to make the west the most powerfull. Now 7 years getting sales for something thats completely one sided. Not that allies do anything 90% of the time, so thats in favor of China i guess. Altho everyone hates China so infact its actually a feature against China now. Well lets keep it positive, its a challenge.
Suport goverment of regions which you think should be friendly, loading those regions and suport goverment of China. Result; growing gdp/c. I dont even try anymore besides that.

Something people often overlook is the effects of communism.
When you play a communist nation you have the following modifiers;
Communism:
• Cheaper military costs
• Cheaper labor costs
• Recruitment / conscription benefit
• Negative influence on GDP/c
• Civilian riots less likely; military or civilian overthrows possible
• Lower base rate of international approval

Re: China' s economy in 2020 scenario
You can change China with India and see the same problems.
Has not much to do with communism, but everything with western people buying this game and want everything thats wrong with their country corrected and/or protected. Even fantasy units, while China got none. I turned the world communist, i know the effects.
The effect is that your taking something out of the copy paste manual from SR2020, while forgetting that units increasingly improve gdp/c. So democratic nations actually get a huge bonus in SRU. Thats actually why ai has problems stop producing units. And thats why Vietnam is doing financially so good with ww1 units. Like alot of things in SRU it is actually backwards. Democratic nations get a bonus for expensive military. Gimme your money pls.
Why dont you show your aar of China? Time to get it fixed for next version.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/263 ... -in-china/
Current SW game (2028)
gdp/c Netherlands 88k
CG production price 125k
gdp/c Northern China 22k
CG production price 123k
So yeah lets get back to the facts. Maybe then something will change. I can give you examples, story, savegames, but maybe you should just report weird things between your save games of sr2020 and sru.
