Sat, 28th of May. 0600 gmt. I will be on GR prior to start date for any testing that needs to be done.

By the way, if you are using Windows 7 you can set more than one clock for the bottom right corner. I have the local time and Zulu set. When I hoover the mouse over the clock it tells me both time zones, very handle.

I have a TS 2 Server we can use for Voice Chat while playing our game. I believe it will be very necessary to talk to each other in the type of game we will be playing. You can download Team Speak if you do not have it at;

http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads&archive=1

Be sure to get the client and not the server for your OS.

TeamSpeak 2 not 3, server does not support 3 at this time.

It is 0518 Zulu, I am logged into GR for testing if needed. But GR is minimized and I am playing a solo game of SR. I will check periodically by alt tabbing. If I do not respond just wait a bit.

Game went well. I am Malawi, Kigge is Niger and samilou is Tanzania.

Malawi has the worst starting position and is the least tech'd country in game. Only resource it has is coal and it is land locked. No Military Fabs. Very difficult, which is why I picked it.
Image

Starting Military 2,700 active – 12,628 reserve
1 Airborne Inf
3 Recon units
2 Tanks
1 AT unit
2 Arty Units
3 AA Units

Niger has Coal/Ore/Uranium/Petro and is land locked. Low infrastructure with many of these being in poorly supplied desert. 1 Land Fab.

Starting Military 8,400 active – 10,167 reserve
3 Ranger Inf
4 Recon units
1 AT unit
3 AA units

Tanzania is in the best position of the three. Three times the population of the others, plenty of Coal, Petro (under sea) and Ore, lacks Uranium. It has a large coastal area. 2 Land Fabs.

Starting Military 16,250 active - 100,796 reserve
1 Light Inf
1 Eng
2 Recon
4 Tanks
1 AT
7 Arty
10 AA

Our first session, about 4 hours, took us up to May 31st, 2020. I look forward to next weeks game as well as comments from the others.

This week’s session takes us up to Dec 17th, 2020.

We are all struggling with very low unemployment, about 1.4% and still trying to get our resources and goods stable. For my part, I have added several facilities at large, (normal), size and scrapped all the micro or medium sizes. Were possible we are sharing resources when needed, if I have extra Coal and Tanzania needs Coal, but has extra Petro and I need Petro, we work a deal for essentially no or very little money. If one of us buys tech or design we share it with the others where possible.

Malawi
I am currently living on exported Consumer goods, while having to import Petro, (home capacity is zero), Ore (home capacity is zero) and Electricity. I have one more coal power plant in construction which will make three, but the low unemployment is really making itself felt.

I also built one land fab and it is busy continuously constructing 1 Special Forces unit.

My immediate goal is to have one land fab and one air fab. If needed, I will alternate production on various facilities to help with resources.

I will purchase the MI-6 and the Cossack design when I can afford them since I heavily use leg inf and air insertions. Also, leg inf is the best bang for the buck when you consider personnel numbers and upkeep. I will more than likely purchase the design for the A-4ku Skyhawk II. It has good range and good ground attack capability for a low tech aircraft. I would prefer to use a Multi Role frame but cannot afford any of them for at least several years. Since I am limited to the older generation, I will need to use an interceptor for air defense as the Skyhawk has very low air to air capability. I have not yet made up my mind on which design to use, my gut is to go for the RF-15CJ, but generally the soviet equipment is cheaper to upkeep and cheaper to repair. At this stage of the game that is a consideration.

The biggest challenge is to decide when and who to attack when the time comes. As a small, poor country, with very limited military and land locked, my first thoughts are to attack an island nation. The chances of them being able to invade me even if they repel my invasion are slim. But no matter how you slice it, I have to expand, with hardly any resources or population it's a must.

I look forward to the days and weeks ahead. This is the most challenging MP game I have played to date. I also will answer comments or questions about the game, if there are any. For example, if anyone wants more detailed info or some such, ask away.

Game was imagined with 3 real people and we have 3. I am sure I will be starting another one at some point as this is very interesting.

Not too much happening in-game, built a 48 kilometer long bridge between Zanzibar and Dar-Es-Salaam, bought some unit designs, continued letting my economy grow. But we had some nice chatting.

Should have told you earlier, but this Saturday I will not be available. What do you think of a replacement session on Monday perhaps?
