What's the easiest way to give America some of the bases it has in different countries?

Just one hex here and one hex there from game start?

The bases itself prolly the map editor, but obviously you also need the treaties. Anyway i did it in the events cause i like to be sure. This stuff i copied in GlobalCrisis.csv in sandbox map, but with the new map structure that file might be somewhere else. But it should work in any event file thats being loaded for the scenario i think.

Then you need to put in the bases itself in the .OOF file/map editor. And put in units in the .oob file for US else there is a big chance they wont even use them, but keep turtling. That chance will be there anyway, that they gonna pull all units back to mainland, but atleast you tried. Setting them to ai stance 3 (aggressive) in the .cvp file should ignore all theatre restrictions according to the wiki (which it doesnt) so that should also help.

Besides that you also need to make sure you have the treaties the other way, else (in this example) US will have treaties, but Japan for example not, and obviously you dont want to cause issues after setting all of this up. I might have selected something in the event files here where it works both sides, but i can also remember putting alot of treaties in for both sides, or else i would get issues. Issues that already exist in vanilla, where you cant cancell treaties or make new ones because they are one sided.

Maybe not the easiest way to complete your mission, but the right way.
