Yeah we can turn OFF Enhanced Ranges and Spotting.
Also, I think UK should no be playable, they have 60 colonies. France has a lot of colonies too, but Tark is French so he probably wants to play that country.

Anybody knows what happens to colonies later on?

We might play 1949 instead of 1936. I modded the 1949 map and reduced Land/Air/Navy production of the top powers nearly by 50%. This will give us time to build up our nations and counter the superpowers. It is good for a long-term game. Otherwise you have USSR with 48 land production and they killed China within 2 years. I'm testing 1949 now. We will decide which map is better for MP tomorrow.

GIJoe, I created this post to discuss different options. It's not that serious. I narrowed down the scenarios to 1936 or modded 1949. We don't have to mod anything. I have no problem proceeding with the original plan of default 1936.
I was just testing 1949 and I did not like that in 1951 China was gone, so I tried to fix it. But 1936 is fine.

I am just too ignorant to fix anything that breaks. I am always wary of changing anything and generally do not do it. (old guys that did not grow up with computers)

GI, we honored your request, we played default 1936. Didn't alter no files. It was a very successful and fun game with 4 players. Me, Viper and Fistalis started the game, number 47 joined us after a few minutes. Anybody can join us. Next session scheduled next Saturday.

We didn't even get to the end of 1936. We played a bit over 2h. No wars were declared yet. I got Poland, Viper has Spain, 47 has Liberia and Fistalis got Chile. We did some tech and resource trading. I pretty much am in an unofficial cooperation deal with Spain due to the German threat. We can add several more players easily.

I am proposing creation of a UN ARMY composed of player units. In the beginning we could devote 10 units/player when you build them. I know we started with no units, but soon everyone can afford 10 units. UN ARMY could deploy jointly around the world to intervene in all kinds of conflicts. We would decide what mission to pursue.

Another advantage of having a UN ARMY is we could impose sanctions on aggressive players with force. Instead of trying to scramble reserved units, we would already have 10 units/player deployed in the world. When someone invades a smaller nation. UN ARMY could roll the aggressive player back home.

Even with 4 players in our MP game there was not much difference than single player. It was running nicely.
