Soundtrack glitch

For some reason, the entire game I always hear the same song over and over again.
Ironically it is not my computer, since I had this issue on different PCs.


What should I do to fix this issue?

Which song? You can listen to all the tracks if you go to \Sounds\Music. I use VLC media player for XWMA, but I seem to recall I had to do something with the bitrate.

IIRC, you should get different music if you start as US vs. USSR in 1949 maps. That's something you could test specifically.

If I play US, I always listen to the US theme repeatedly.
If I go USSR I always hear the same soviet theme once and once again.
If I go Europe I hear the generic european theme repeatedly, if I go Asia I hear their generic theme only and then it repeats, etc.

Basically, I hear the same first music, but it keeps repeating itself no matter what.

That's because we didn't have the budget for more than one track per region.

Like, I always hear the Soviet theme, but I never hear the ''generic tracks''
Like the ''generic scenario music 1,2,3''

It's based on the music track assigned in the .CVP file. Countries only get one track. We don't use tracks past 12.

Oh, so each country you play you will always hear the same exact song over and over? Oh, alright

But, as I suggestion, I would say that first hearing the nation's theme and then after that hear a ''generic theme'' would be a nice touch, to add more variation to the game.
Simillar to Civilization where when you first start the game you hear your own nations's theme and after that some random songs.

We have actually updated the engine in Galactic Ruler for something similar to this, so all future games will share that feature.
