Ticket 25542 - Many random autosaves generated

Post by SGTscuba »

I am playing the '36 sandbox, and up until around 1946 I get occasional autosaves that end up filling up the save game folder. I think they may somehow be generated in conjunction with in game events but I'm unsure if this is true, but it happens every '36 run.

The "normal" autosave that happens every 7 days (which generates autosave 1 + 2) still works correctly for reference and these files do not seem to replace them at all.

I have uploaded a few already here:

Compressed so far this run, it has given me 270mb of saves!

Hey SGTscuba,

I took a look at the events surrounding the 1936 Scenario and found some events forcing the saves.

To resolve this saving issue follow the steps below...
1) Open the events file for the 1936 scenario in ".\Supreme-Ruler-Ultimate\Common", the file is named "SR1936.csv"
2) Go to line 3169 or find event "7732" this is where the force saving begins
3) Delete events 7732 to 7773
4) Recache and enjoy!!!

If we make future updates we will be sure to update the events file and remove the events forcing these saves. We aren't too sure why we did it in the first place.
