Wanted: Europeans

Post here to arrange or discuss multiplayer games. Remember when planning a game to state the time the lobby will be open, the time the game will start and the time zone you are in and if you are going to play through Gamespy or direct IP address.

Wanted: Europeans

Post by Lightbringer »

Are there any European players who would be interested in starting a weekly session of a World (or other large map) Scenario?

(this is not because North Americans don't want y'all in our game... just attempting to bypass time differences and gauging interest from across the pond :) )

I could possible outside of term time, sort of July-September, December, March-April. In term time the odd weekend, when I am at home... (I am at boarding school so 4 hours of uniterupted game play is a) unlickley and b) not realy allowed)

But I need to sort out my economic skills first as I find it V. hard to stay in the black. And time wise I was looking at your other game thinking "Yes start at 12am finish at 4am, nice" but I could possibly do it.

Well that time difference is why I opened this discussion... :) I used to be the Captain of a large pirate crew in a MMORPG called Puzzle Pirates, and there were literally dozens of Europeans, Australians, and SE Asian players in my crew that I would wake up at 6-7 AM to play with on saturdays. Schedule juggling can be done. :P

As for school limiting your timeframe... if we could get started by the end of July, I'm pretty sure we could finish even a long scenario by the end of September.

When I am at home on a weekend, I could cover someone elses region if they are away for some reason, which has to be better than leaving it for the AI to mess up.

We ran into a brick wall concerning everyone being able to connect to each other. The idea isn't dead, just sorta taking a break to recharge.

I'm in denmark now. Give me the time to play it. My connection can be awful at evenings, yet perfect during day.

The only game being planned right now is Seydlitz's game set for Dec. 1 noon Eastern time (U.S.) If I recall Denmark's timezone, that is either 4-5 AM.

If any other European time zone players want to renew the idea of a weekly campaign, I am still up for the idea.

Alright, I shall try and get a weekly game into my schedule, set on a European timetable. This can either mean early morning for me and midday/afternoon for y'all, or a little later if you want an evening game. It is going to be a few more weeks though, my real life is hectic as heck right now. Which is better? Evening or afternoon?
