At the very least I'll be bugging folks into playing "one night stand" games pretty regularly. Feel free to chime in with suggestions and ideas, and don't worry too much about being some uber genius at this game, I'm not, and it doesn't decrease my enjoyment of it. :)
We should start hashing out a complete Roll Call, maybe? How many people are we looking for?

I can start hosting it Sunday the 23rd. We'll need to decide on a start time. I can play early sunday afternoon, if that would be agreeable to most players. (EST, so evening for Europe)

and we don't have a target number Sam...we just want to know who can commit to a multi-week game.

just to make sure and be clear, not this Sunday, but the next one. Red is hosting one sunday evening, and I want to make sure we have the rules and players set when we start the multi session.

Hi, I made myself know in Lightbringers other thread Here. The 23rd sounds good to me even though it will be at some unearthly time for me  .

So far we are looking at: myself, Sam, Margab, and you Ains. Rhjyyz was the one who planted this idea in my head, and as near as I can tell, he is the only one who would have problems starting in the afternoon (US). The last I heard from Rhj though, he had decided he didn't want the AI in the game any more than necessary. In any case let me wait until I know if Rhjyyz wants to play. If not we will aim for an early afternoon start which will make it a reasonable evening start time for European players.

LOL well I had mentioned coordinating with European friends before... Don't thank me too soon though, as mentioned Rhjyyz helped get this idea up and running...so I'd hate to just shut him out by scheduling when I know he can't play. We'll see. I may try and put two weeklies together if necessary. :o

(lol I can see me starting up and trying to buy units from game A when I'm playing game B)

What day, what time?

I'm good all day during the week (Monday thru Friday) from 9AM to 4PMEST (which would be perfect for our euro friends) and then also in evening . Saturdays I could start around 2-3PM, but no earlier. Sundays I give myself a break until the evening.

I'd prefer the AI presence to be minimal.

Doesn't matter which map (probably the smaller the better).

Also would prefer the game to played on slowest setting (I know it could take months but we can also have other games that are quickies)

Alright, how does this sound? Can everyone make it to a Saturday afternoon , 2pm est game? I'd prefer sunday, but either weekend day is fine with me. My weekdays are taken by work. I'd like to try and do it in the afternoon so we can include European players. I've played games where I went to bed at 7pm and woke up to play at midnight...but it sucked, so I'll try not to ask them to do that.

As for AI presence and map size, how does something close to double the number of players sound? So if we have 5 players...we pick a map with 9-12 regions. Is that amenable for you Rhjyyz? I'm not too picky about it...but I would like some AI. And yes this will be a 1/2 speed realtime game in case anyone was unaware. Pause breaks once or twice an hour if someone feels a need.
Also how hard do we want to set it? I'm still mainly playing on normal...but also feeling ready to start on hard once my world campaign is through.
