Does the strength of a (land) unit influence the move speed ... ?
(did some search on the boards but could not find anything about it)
I've a couple of identical engineers (speed 90 km/h) .. except for the strength.
One unit has a strength of 40 the others 35.The -40- unit always arrive
as first its destiny.....
Should the "smallest" unit not be moving faster...

Ive noticed this as well with small stacks of identical ships. A stack of three Wasp carriers in particular. All full strength...no damage and never have been damaged... no cargo or aircraft aside from full loads of supplies, yet one ship travels as if it were rated at maybe 6-10 mph slower. Everytime all the time. I can try to replicate it for a save if you want, but it is not that big a deal to me. (lmao prob wouldn't do it if I tried to make it happen:P)

Ok.. i got it .. ( well ... at least i guess and it may sound ridiculous... )
I'm playing the second map in a campaign.
The slowest units have been carried over from the first map.
Hex distance map 1 = 10 km... map 2 = 18 km.
This could be right cause the fastest unit moves almost twice as fast
as the -old- units...

I've runned another testgame under the same circumstances but now with different units.Balthagor wrote: this must be a coincidence.
Light Infantery.... and i've the same results...
(the older units are slower...).

Have you checked to see that the units are set to move at the same speed with the same directness ?
I sometimes make the error of not hitting the "all current and future units" button like i should, and find some of my units are at differnet movement speed setttings.
