I think the immigration/emigration system needs to be looked at and
rebalanced.
An example of why:
If i have the highest DAR of any region on the map and the highest
GDP/c i should NOT be losing massive amounts of my people.
Specific example:
Dar : 20%
GDP/c : 15k
Closest other regions dar :17%
Closest other regions gdp/c :12k
Now anywhere on the map these people leaving go to, is gonna put them in worse shape than they are now.
So why would they leave and to where ?
Im planning on a further look that will include unemployment ,social services and other comparisons.
But as it stands i truly feel too many people choose to emigrate than should.
I think the immigration/ emigration system need a look

Well, if that were the case, than it still needs to be looked at.
Since the WM territory has NO stats that can be wieghed against the other regions on a given map,let alone on the world map where this example is from.

It's that old wm black magic...
nobody expects the WM inquisition....
I've noticed other anomalies - and somehow the notion of the wm as a cure-all is troublesome. For instance, how can ALL regions be experiencing positive immigration inflows simultaneously? [I've seen this happen, and seen it persist for months.]
If I were a neo-con I suppose I could make the spontaneous creation argument....
I realize that making the economics model 'tighter' is not necessarily consistent with the designer's product goals [after all, it's a wargame, not an econ simulator], but from a strategic play perspective, somehow the idea that all of your AI opponents plus the WM can just pull a rabbit out of their collective hat is somehow discouraging. This starts to broach on the AI cheats topic. Anyone who's ever had to wait on recruitment before fielding a division's worth of reserves probably has the same issue - do the AI regions have to wait too?

Colorless green ideas sleep furiously [but otherwise, they do not worry and are happy].

Of course. You can switch to the other regions and watch it, if you like.Il Duce wrote:Anyone who's ever had to wait on recruitment before fielding a division's worth of reserves probably has the same issue - do the AI regions have to wait too?
