Not sure how this happened, perhaps an injured stellar transport had a ground unit still in it when it went in for repairs ?

K, i had one bg (BG 8) with 14 stellar transports, i ordered all 14 to drop onto the planet near this, only 7 dropped,so i emptied them removed them from bg 8 ,and gave them a launch order, while giving the old bg8 another drop order. When the old bg8 dropped to the planet hex, the unit icons where doubled as shown above.

very large planets have their orbital constructs show wrong ? Not sure what those icons on the bottom of the planet are?

Hello
it looks like there are many issues here:

1. If you have a ground unit it a transport as the transport goes for repairs it says you lost the ground unit
2. The meanings of the icon at the bottom of "Trodillia 2" and "Trodillia 1" in the 3rd picture are unclear
3. The orbital constructs around "Trodilla" in the 3rd picture are not showing
4. If you launch and drop units in the same battlegroup, the unit count on the planet is doubled

Did I miss anything / get those right?

I was also mistaken when I saw the very first picture that was posted in this thread. What was the problem in that first picture?

Thanks!

in the first picture the position of the suns is inaccurate. In the main map, the blue sun is on the left,in the mini map the blue sun is on the right.

In the second picture theres a light infantry unit in orbit around lacc 1. I think it got there when the transport carrying it went in for repairs.

In the third picture a bug caused a duplicate icon for the stack of transports to show in the hex, making it look like theres 2 stacks of transports in the same hex.

In the fourth picture the orbital construction/facilities are not showing for the huge planet, and theres a weird icon by the on the bottom of said planet that i have no idea what it is.

Awesome thanks for clearing that up!

1. I believe the minimap only shows accurate system representation when it comes to planets but not when it comes to stars/asteroids etc. -> ticket 27010
2. Going to try to recreate the land units "orbiting" planets -> ticket 27011
3. Going to try to recreate the "double stack" problem -> ticket 27012
4. Looks like a render error, I'm pretty sure the blue stuff near the bottom of the planet are artifacts from failed renders -> ticket 27013

I havent even started the clock ticking yet.But look at what i have right next to my homeworld ....I tried over 40 times to recreate this after it happened the last time, to no luck. And yet the very first game i start after the new patch, here it is.Though this time i dont seem to have any control or access to it.

Yes, the pirates can appear anywhere. We're still working on that implementation, the intention is for them to spawn a distance away from you.

You might want to embrace this ,make it so some small pirate planet does span close to the players homeworld ,it does wonders for the early game pacing. A nice snack for the player while he waits for techs and ships, where he can get into some low intensity combat fairly soon.

That's essentially what we wanted, but systems aren't so large. I don't want players to be forced to engage them before they are ready.

On another machine today ,started a new game for this location. Got what im going to start calling a "pirate moon" again. My exp so far suggests they wont declare war on my homeworld unless i put on a show of force. If i keep all my space navy in reserve ,or far from them ,they just seem to ignore me.

So there seems to be an intuitive way to avoid war with them for quite a while.
