lose all your occupying troops when you conquer a planet ?

I like your idea. That's a good approach. A popup saying "You can now seize control of a colony, in order to swap between the two select the emblem for the colony in the top right". That should introduce players to HOW we switch between the two and then figuring out how to select units for each region should be straight forward. I have been thinking of a new approach for it but wasn't sure on the path exactly but I do like this.
