Changing Governments

Post by ElGuapo »

In the scenario I'm playing my nation is currently a democracy. I have the change governments option on. So how do I change from a democracy to a dictatorship? Thanks?

The "change government type" option means that players can chose what type of government they wish to have at the start. The screen that shows you the storyline when the game is loading has the government choices at the top. You cannot change gov't type mid game. However, if you loose your election you will be offered to switch to a dictatorship so long as you have high enough military support.

Thanks for the response! So what if I elect dictatorship as my form of government at the beginning of the game? Yet the scenario info still makes reference to an upcomming election?

it will stay the same as far as election date info. But you won't have to worry about it, no election, just keep your military approval up.

You can change the Gouvernment with a Exploit/Bug. (a exemple you play with Marroco is a Monarchy)

Save your Campaign with Marroco

Start a new Scenario/Campaign Game with a Land who haves Democracy. Example Guetemala.

Load now in the Guetemala Game the Marroco Save, and you will have Democracy! :D

That bug was fixed during one of the updates. You should download the latest version (4.6.1)
