what is your best strategy game ever(excluding supreme of course) & why??
i hope this will help develpo the game better??

mine personally this Gernerals cold war crisis mod specially because it is very realistic to a great extent,high graphics& very strong AI

rome total war i would agree but it isn't my best i prefer modern war fare Although i hate future warfare like space & stuff

Men of War -its all realistic,moddels,timeline,real penetration system(can be hit in left,right track,engine etc...) Real armor value.Great graphic (best of strategy games.) very entartaining. Only real disadvantage is that u need original game to play multiplayer (because 1 cd-key is only to 1 account) Much mods and patches so its always more updated to real gameplay and WW2 feel like.

best game ever from your point of view

Hm... I enjoyed MTW 2 and RTW since I could beat the AI in tactical battles with almost anything, against almost anything. Then I realized I'm no new Hannibal but the AI sucks. Seriously, charging infantry against a line of men twice as wide? Leaving your chief/King exposed? Attacking with 70 men against 500? Come on, seriously. I'd nominate Shogun for most catchy advisor sound (Noble Lord, excellent news. You have a son!)

I still enjoy Galactic Civilizations 2 (be it Dread Lords or one of the expansions), it has a giant tech tree (unique one for each race in the newest expansion), map sizes from a couple of solar systems to half of the galaxy, incredible AI (which, sadly, mistakes my lack of ships for combat for stupidity and forgets that it is *I*, not them who has the top economy) and so on.

Europa Universalis 3, Hearts of Iron 2 and 3 (more 2 then 3), Crusader Kings are all a hill of awesome for me too (1066-1968! w00t!)
Company of Heroes is top of the line when it comes to WW2 RTS games as far as I'm concerned, although the game still has some.. issues..

No best strategy for me, just equals among equals

Best game ever? I think it would either be Dune 2, Total Annihilation, Conquest of the New World or Colonization for me. Best game in this millenia? That would have to be Hearts of Iron 2, Supreme Commander or C&C Generals. EDIT: Oh or Medieval Total War.

XCOM series, without argument.

Extremely old, but extremely well-made and difficult. Example, first one is made in 1993, isometric and with 100% destructible terrain during combat. I mean it. Every cubic meter. Every soldier comes with more than 10 stats which interact with each other , the entire world's countries fund your efforts based on how much you made, some countries may fall to alien conspiracy, and hinder your effort.

tl;dr, you fight an Alien invasion with a secretive, UN funded specialist army in a VERY losing battle, just gaining enough time to find out what can hurt them most.
