Is there a map where I can see the regions from all over the world. If not a map then a list. Can you play regions from all over. Specifically I want to know how the state of KY stands and if Africa is playable specifically Botswana?

Thanks,

I dont believe Botswana is playable. It was merged with some of its neighbors to form another region.

Said region might be Namibian Federation ?

Africa is playable in a few scenarios. The African campaign starts out with like 15 playable regions, your goal to unite all of Africa by force. Many of the smaller regions like above, are combined to form larger more survivable regions for play.

On the World Map, Africa is playable as almost the entire continent. On this Map i believe Egypt is part of the Middle East region, but the rest is all there under a super region named of course- Africa.

KY ? Kentucky ? Yes its a playable state in the early scenarions, your task is to reunite the U.S. by force or diplomacy or both.

Dont know if theres a region list floating around.

There is a region list on the Wiki for 2020:

SR2020 Region List

It is not exactly the same as SR2010 but is at least representative.

In campaign mode you start in control of a relatively small region, such as a state in the US (or a combination of states grouped into a "region"; e.g., New England), a European nation or group of small countries, as Tkobo described. I find it lots of fun and think it's one of the best aspects of the game to start small like this, build some really strong and experienced units, etc.

Actually the list for SR2020 would be deceiving if you're talking about SR2010. There are far more countries being included in the new version.

Turkish Republic of Cyprus? Battlegoats is the second faction in the world recognizing it! (The first is us)

Also, what is holy land? Did you mean the Holy See? Pope conquering the world?

First, that list is unofficial.

Some of the names are the name given to a group of regions. "Holy Land" is Israel and Jordan grouped together. Currently not a group used in the scenarios we're using, but we've not finished making all the scenarios (but they all use that same map).

Thanks,

To phrase an answer a new way to your question...

In our "map editor" we have bordered most of the worlds independent countries and many large countries have their provinces and states divided. For example. Canada has all it's provinces and territories divided. Other countries like Russia have been divided into large "new" territories, using existing Oblast or Okrug boundaries where possible. Now, all this is done in our map editor. I think in total there are over 300 individual regions in the world.

To "play" the game we make a "group list" which provides to the player a list of countries that total no more than 255 countries at once. This is done for game performance and game play reasons. Since we want to offer different maps to play on, the "group lists" provided in the release of 2020 will have some countries grouped and others divided. For example, in one map, you'll see Canada grouped back together while on another "group list"/ map, you'll see Canada divided. At all times you see the entire world to play on. But it's just a matter of which countries will be grouped in which ways.

The current group list I am looking at while developing the game has Botswana as it's own country but the United States is, united together, so KY is not separate. Another group list (i think) will have both Botswana separate and KY separate, and it would be a map with the US divided.

As a side note... we do have every map for every region that is in the map editor, in the game. When a region is grouped, in the game you will see the dominant country flag and name or today's country flag. Example: if you play and Ontario is divided from Canada you will see the Ontario flag. But if you play a map where Canada is not divided it will use the Canada flag.

IIRC the current World 2020 scenario (one of the scenarios being preped for release) has 185 regions (didn't I say this somewhere else already?).
