units,missiles and experience

I have several times seen units that use missiles to destroy the enemy not to get any exp. at all even if the unit they fired against was totally destroyed.Is this a WAD/BUG or what?

It could be the level of experience that they gain. We work with decimals between experience levels but don't always show the decimals between points. George would need to answer this to give you a more specific answer.
