how to use function option at the equipment manager
I am trying to use the right click option "function" of the equipment manager to add e.g. +10 to all crew of Russian tanks but doesn't seem to work. Selecting all the values and using add 10 function doesn't work. I know I am missing something but I cant find out what. Could someone explain me how I could do the above example? Thank you.

Re: how to use function option at the equipment manager
Ok by reading this post viewtopic.php?t=32795 I understood how to use it but I have the same problem as the creator of the post has even if I tried the separator thing. (I had already tried to use the function that way but the error made me believe that this is not the right way to use it). Now does anyone found a solution for the Exception error?

Re: how to use function option at the equipment manager
I just tested the function. Here's an example of how to do it.
Open the Asset Manager, import the file.
Filter ClassNum Equals 2 (2) Tank
Show column for crew
Highlight rows
Click year column to sort by year
Highlight lines 5 through 11
Right click Crew, choose function
Select add, value 10.
That will add 10 crew to all tanks from 1917.
Open the Asset Manager, import the file.
Filter ClassNum Equals 2 (2) Tank
Show column for crew
Highlight rows
Click year column to sort by year
Highlight lines 5 through 11
Right click Crew, choose function
Select add, value 10.
That will add 10 crew to all tanks from 1917.

Re: how to use function option at the equipment manager
Thank you very much for your response but you probably didn't read my second post. As I said by reading viewtopic.php?t=32795 I confirmed that my initial way to use function was correct and your post confirms it beyond doubt. The problem is that both at him (swedish) and me (Italian configured PC) trying to use function gives an error: Unhandled exception- "Input string was not in correct format" The logical thing would be that Region and even more intl.cpl settings must be changed to US to resolve problems with commas separator etc (as excel does) but unfortunately nothing seems to resolve the problem. That was what confused me and I was thinking that I used a wrong procedure. I will send you the error details hoping that this can help you figure out what cause the wrong format of the string...

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I'll show this to someone on the coding team, I don't know what any of that means.

Re: how to use function option at the equipment manager
I have confirmed with our coding team that our modding tools are built in a way that they will not work on most other language versions of Windows because of how column header names are read into the system. It wasn't something we had considered when designing the tool and we don't have the resources to rebuild the tool at this time. It should be assumed that the tools will only work in English.
