SteamCloud saves/sync not effective ?

I have activated SteamCloud saves and indeed the files are saved in the folder
C:\Users\XXX\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Galactic Ruler Enlightenment\SteamCloud
MS's OneDrive is where the Documents folder reside, I have an Office365 subscription.

However the "View Steam Cloud" account page does not show any files from GRE and as a consequence save files cannot be accessed on my Steam Deck (on which GRE runs very well).

We'll test to ensure Steam Cloud Saves are step up properly, but we haven't tested functionality with Steam Deck. As we are not officially supporting it at this time, I'm not sure how much we'll be able to tell you. Ticket 36567.
