So, F-15 collection. Technically there are more planes here than the F-104 but overall they have been easier to make so the F-104 still keeps the prize as the most time consuming aircraft to date. I still have to do the generic F-15 textures but they will just be slightly adjusted US variants.

The US aircraft are not the most exciting but for the most part that is just how they are. I guess I could make more colourful anniversary colour schemes but that will have to wait as they take a bit too much time to make. It is however fairly easy to distinguish the US F-15C from the F-15E which I guess is also more important.
Ultimately though there is also the problem of everything being too colourful if every aircraft carries an anniversary colour scheme.

The ROK F-15C texture is entirely fictive and I know going with high visibility roundels is not the most realistic option considering most ROKAF aircraft use low visibility. However this is my compromise with realism to make it actually stand out compared to every other bland grey aircraft.
Likewise the Japanese F-15E representative is not a historic F-15E. It is however based on a real F-15J. I specifically picked this one as it is distinctive without being too colourful. Also it is very easy to convert into a regular F-15J should I decide to do this. The tail art is not accurate. The real version had a fancy lion painted on the vertical stabilisers but I decided that to be too time consuming for too little payoff as it was not that noticeable.

I might still tweak some of the aircraft a bit. This would mainly be the case of the US and ROK aircraft.

I will not be doing Saudi F-15s mainly as they have no unique region group so every member of whatever group I assign the Saudi F-15s to would get these textures where the main distinguishing features is a Saudi flag on the vertical stabilisers.
If memory serves me right that basically means the entire Mid East and Pakistan would basically fly with Saudi flagged F-15s should they buy any.

Those look awesome!

What`s your plan for these? I really like how the US textures look and personally I`d just take those without the national markings for the generic versions.
Also I have adjusted the M110 to have the barrel locked in a roughly 35 degree angle.
Thank you! As a general rule I think all artillery should be pointing upwards to some degree. Considering how they act in game (slow moving, seldomly moved, firing alot) the in-action pose probably fits better overall than the transport/moving setup.

I really only plan on making small HSV adjustments to the base colours, change the red stripes on the tail to something else and change the text on the vertical stabilisers.

I tend to like using something close to UN blue for generic units (not that I consider generic units United Nations vehicles but it is a distinct colour not used by many others).

I might actually tweak the US F-15C to resemble a Saudi F-15 a bit.

I have had a few busy days so not that much progress but still one or two more models are ready for conversion.

Just a bit of information.
After talking with Brad we have agreed that the next update will significantly overhaul the ID range used. This means that unless you keep the old content and add the next update on top of it the models will not appear in say existing save files. I can keep the old files available for those that want it.

This is done to make it easier for BG to integrate the content (to the point of basically being able to grab whatever they want) and I can organise the content properly which is good for my OCD.

I might also not make it for the end of May though I am still aiming at getting it done as quickly as possible.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Next update will hit on June 7th and chances of it being moved further is extremely slim. All the intended JSDF content should make it and hopefully a good portion of the non-JSDF material should also be done at this point.

Interesting, would like to have those Japanese WWII ships, even planes would be nice. The model units on the other page didn't have any :(

Did a great job on it.

Currently all that is available (including all 16 Nippon Kaigun warships) should be is in the package on page 12 in this thread and I have tried to write some instructions on how to add them to the game here.
All you need should be in the page 12 package though so no need to download anything in the 2nd link.

Sorry I cannot offer more but I assume people that want to add such content themselves probably also use other mods such as Zuikakus in which case I would just be wasting my time creating such a mod. Also I think I use my time better making 3D models than trying to create a mod (and possibly re-creating it after each patch) that adds them to different sandboxes.

Quick progress update: Most of the JMSDF is done with only Asahi turned Akizuki and Ōsumi needing some work. Other than that there is only the Shin Meiwa US-1A and some variant textures that are still left.

Cool thanks, noticed they going to add that with the patch. I will wait til the patch, dunno when though. Looking forward to play it again :)

The deadline as agreed by Brad and I on the 7th of this month is for inclusion in the next patch (if I have models that are nearly ready though I might try and send them during the weekend -_^).
I assume there might be a few weeks between that time then and the actual release of the patch. I cannot promise what BG will actually include in the game but I hope to have around 100 models ready for inclusion. Of those around 60-70 will be new content not released before. Yes I will also be releasing it on these boards.

Currently I am in the process of converting some content as pretty much all of the JSDF package except the Shin Meiwa is completed.

A quick update:
Yes I still plan on releasing on June 7th. Admitted it might get to the point where Baker island is the only place that is still true but oh well.
I am still considering if I should add more weathering or a cloud render to the ships but honestly I am not all that much into the overly grimy look it might produce.
The horse carriage should probably get a bit of variation to break up the large fairly uniform surfaces.
Also just notice while looking at the screenshots that Asagiri has some layers turned off on her rear deck.

For the record the aircraft in the 2nd screenshot is fictive as are the largest surface combatants.

The exact scales for the meshes are still work in progress and is basically all that is left to do.

I might post another set of screenshots before release.

Here is the first iteration of the next update. It should be fully functional but I do not offer any guarantees.
If there are any issues let me know.

Scale might still be messed up but the direction at least should be right
I cannot test them myself as the computer I am on right now does not have SRU installed but they should be right.
