Re: Map Errata
Slavonski Brod military hex (Croatia) is still (reported 3-4 updates ago) missing the barracks rendering two land fabs present there useless
p.s. I believe the coordinates are X:927 Y:178 but I'm not entirely sure
EDIT: all modern maps (GC, SW, 2020)

Sure. For the later game maps (GC, world 2020)Balthagor wrote:Which map?

The aircraft factory is located in X:512 Y:586 ( Buenos Aires), it should be in coordinates x:478 y:570, however at that place a town with the name "Alta Gracia" is located; i think it could go in x:479 y:570.

[Beta 9.0.26] World 1946 scenario
France is missing an airbase at its 2 air fabs at Aubagne (southern France) which means those factories can never produce air units.

Re: Map Errata
On the 1936 map I found a few minor issues.
Tibet - X:1434 Y:233 & X:1436 Y:232
Tibet has various hydro Power stations in that locaton, but there is no power generation under it so it effectively generates 0 energy from 4 big hydro power stations.
Romania - Town of Galati (there are 2 but the southern one)
I think this should be a military base, because it has a naval production unit, but is lacking a Sea Port it just has a Sea Pier. (so no production)
Germany - Krefeld ( next to Dusseldorf)
This should likely be a town and not an industrial complex, because the complex is on top of a river you can never add anything to it

Re: Map Errata - Iraq (SR-36 MAC v.8.3.38)
MAP - Iraq issues, SR-1936 (MAC)
Postby geminif4ucorsair » Apr 01 2015
SR-1936 Version: MAC v.8.3.38 (Standbox)
IRAQ map has errors that should be corrected for 1936, as below:
1. REMOVE: Road across Shatt-el-Arab waterway (X1126 Y266) was not present in 1936. Should be removed.
Comment: Have reviewed several hundred historical photos of the area in '36-37, and the road
bridge does not exist.
Much later, believe during WW2 that last into post-war, a causeway was built by the British
(have viewed photos) - but crossing the Shatt-el-Arab was done by small water taxis, luggers
and barges in 1936.
Source: http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/pon ... ew/google/
2. Ref road bridge above; British and Commonwealth troops unloaded at Umm Qasr (X1128 Y266),
then usually took the railroad line (or motor transport) north to Baghdad & Habbiniyah.....
therefore (#3):
3. ADD: 1936 British - Iraqi Land and Air Transit diplomatic relations missing: UK had airfield at Habbaniya (X1096 Y248) -
Airfield not there - and had just relocated its single Audax squadron from further up north in Iraq, to
Habbaniya. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAF_Habbaniya
That the British were allowed to both transit by Land and Air, would indicate a missing Diplomatic
Agreement between the two countries; please add.
4. Shatt-al-Arab Waterway - this waterway is limited in transit by the road indicated above, but
with removal of the road across the waterway, water transit (cargo ships, etc.) should not be allowed
further up-river, beyond Umm Qasr (X1128 Y266) - where all merchant ships and others should be required
to unload at.
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shatt_al-Arab
5. Missing Names for Commonwealth bases, Middle East:
Names should be added to several British bases in the Middle East....including those in Iraq, Trans-Jordan
and Palestine.
OBSERVATION:
During several SR-36 (Sandbox) games it has been noticed that Iraqi forces, when stationed at Basra, fire on
British merchant ships trying to transit the Shatt-al-Arab - should this not constitute WAR declaration between
the UK and Iraq ??
However, with the correction and addition of Land and Air Transit rights for British military, that should no
longer happen.....right?

MAP Issues - SR-1936 Egypt
Postby geminif4ucorsair » Apr 01 2015
SR-1936 v. 8.3.38 MAC (Sandbox)
EGYPT region has two major Dams that were not as included in 1936:
* * ASWAN (X1042 Y296), unless this was intended to represent the Aswan Low Dam (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aswan_Low_Dam),
which did NOT have Hydro-Electric facilities adjacent until 1960, and a second built 1985-86. The Low Dam was a flood control
dam when completed in 1902, by the occupying British.
Therefore, remove the Hydro-Electric facilities.
Given the indicated output benefitting Egypt, it is likely the dam at X104 Y296 represents the larger, Aswan Dam completed during Colonel
Nasser's regime period, with great amounts of aid from the USSR. Nationalization of the Suez Canal by Egypt was directly related to gaining
and using those canal revenues to pay for construction of the big Aswan Dam project.
A link on this is at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aswan_Dam# ... .80.931902
* * DARAW (X1042 Y294) - there is no dam at Daraw city, 1936.
Location Map: https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&outp ... sic&dg=brw
[this map detailing the city & adjacent waterway does not have a dam adjacent, though there is a small dam downriver
but this was not completed in 1936.]
Quote:
This is the most exciting event ongoing:
Known for its Sunday camel market—the largest camel market in this part of the world—Daraw is otherwise a hot, dusty, and flyblown place. The camels come up from Sudan along the 40 Days Road. Traditionally, they made the trek on foot, but now more and more of them arrive in the backs of Toyota pickup trucks, which the camel drivers rent at Abu Simbel for the final leg of their trip. Merchants from Cairo, mostly, make their way to Daraw to take the camels back to Cairo. The camels sold on Sundays are mostly destined for slaughter; rural Egyptians say camels make the best kofta (meatball) kebabs.
On Tuesdays, the Daraw market sells, in addition to camels, livestock: sheep, goats, cows, bulls, and poultry. Full of dust, tumult, and herders with whips, market days are nothing if not colorful and crowded with people and animals. However, while it's an exciting experience to push your way through the crowds, if you have a soft spot for four-legged creatures, you should brace yourself for the occasional upsetting sight.

Re: Map Errata
Hello there everyone. If I think correctly, this is where I can post my issue.
Well, my problem is noticed in all modern sandboxes and scenarios (all 2020) with a Russian town called Ust'-Ilimsk (X:1370; Y:113) which is my hometown also =). A facility that produces electricity is not based on petrol consumption(power-petrol). It is actually a hydroelectric power station. The more strange thing is that in a previus game ("Supreme Ruler 2020" and addon "Global Crisis") there was the right construction in older versions until it was replaced with power-petrol station.
Here are some articles:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ust-Ilimsk
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ust-Ilims ... er_Station
I hope you will manage to understand my English.

Re: Map Errata
1st Edition.
CHINA GC 2020 Map:
X:1441,Y:231 Under China´s loyalty, hydro facility is not producing electricity whatsoever.
Shangai has no city reprecented in the map, (if you locate the location, you will see that there is no city hub) and shows 8 buildings when hovering the mouse over it, although only 5 at sight.
2nd edition.
México:
Also i think at coordinates X:329,Y:322 (Ciudad del carmen, Mexico) should be a pier. (Mainly patrol boats are based here). "Zona naval V".
USA:
At Guam i think Andersen AFB must be added. coordinates X:1711,Y:347.
Maybe Adding Dugway prooving ground in x:226,y:206.
Chile:
Hanga roa in the easter island (isla de pascua) X:261,Y:547, should have a tourist atraction.
Costa rica:
The city Puntarenes coordinates X:364,Y:365 should be PUNTA ARENAS.
3rd edition.
México:
Acuna X:283,Y:270, should be "Ciudad Acuña". While i do not know if SRU supports "ñ", at least it should be corrected to ciudad (city).

Re: Map Errata
Northern part of the Georgia Republic in the Global Crisis map: There seems to be a Sea Pier there that not only leads to nowhere but also serves as a magnet to units trying to transport through the sea, leading to dozen and dozens of units getting stuck there as the years go by.
Also, on a similar note, on the GC2020 map, Brazil should have at least a few spots for rubber production, although very few actual plantations built, if any, although maybe allowing a natural basic production on the hex with the possibility of rubber production to represent the locals "milking" the wild trees in the region (and yes, Brazilians do make the obvious jokes about said activity ). But Brazil do have the capability to produce natural rubber, and, although in 2012 it was responsible for only 1% of the world's natural rubber production, there do seems to be there plans to become self sufficient in latex by 2023. A link with some information on the subject (on Portuguese, sorry): http://ruralcentro.uol.com.br/noticias/ ... 9770#y=754
Edit: Also, on Brazil, on the GC map (and I assume on the other modern maps) there are two nuclear power plants in Rio de Janeiro, which should be in Angra dos Reis (and probably should be 3 instead of 2 by 2020). Wiki link with more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angra_Nuclear_Power_Plant

In all maps
There should have some uranium mines in North Korea as well:
https://fas.org/nuke/guide/dprk/nuke/
And in the resource abundance settings, perhaps North Korea can have some sites suitable for Oil Derricks since there is preliminary works done there too.
