Idea of a competition

Post by Micheal »

Wouldn't it be cool if there was competition where players go against each other to be the last one standing and win a championship?

This would be awsome, but ain't this a mp thread instead of a mod request? I would sign up, only need rules. If you want to you can go create such championships :)

Edit: Winner could get to battle it out with George :p

Im not sure how to change which category the topic will be placed in. I guess we could do that for a rule. We should have more people for the competition tho. Maybe one more? Which country will you be by the way?

Hmm i don't know what country yet. We should have a price, maybe the winner could be crownd "Supreme Ruler". Then we need to define how you win the title, like the player that holds the city x at the end of the game wins?

I think we could make that a victory but I was thinking the last player/team alive wins. Also we could start scheduling and people may apply for the competition but if there is more than eight players then we make multiple sessions and they players remaining play another match with other players who won. We should also use GameRanger because it seems easier to use. Teams could be non-aligned, N.A.T.O or Warsaw. I want to make the game based in supreme ruler 1936 because you usually start off with little to zero units(makes the games longer). Another thing is some countries may have colonies that are considerable apart of the country so we should make small changes. I'm looking forward to the games growing. :)

Think your talking about srcw, which I own and would be willing to play, but we should play sr1936 since this thread is for that game. Rules sound acceptable. Gameranger dosent work for sr1936 though we could use Tunngle or Hamachi. As for a time, 17gmt is an middle time if people from several contignets want to join. I could possibly head up the Axis alliance ingame as Germany.

Sounds reasonable to have the competition on SR1936. I don't disagree on using other ways to create/join multiplayer servers but I don't think it really matters what we use as long as everybody is ok with it. How big can we set up the competition on Tunngle and Hamachi? Also I want to thank you for bringing people to the competition.

I have Hamachi and Tunngle networks that supports up to 32 players each. People should maybe try out both to see what they like and what works, also lets use vanilla, there's always someone with an mod that causes problems.
