Will there be a difference in the finished game between 'amphibious' vehicles and those vehicles that are sea worthy, that are built for beach assaults?

Like what, AAVs? Even they can't really go more than a hex out of range of land, they just can't make the trip on their own.

Using deck well ships and amphibious units you will be able to unload into ZOC of enemy units. None amphibious units can only unload from deck well ships into uncontested territory. Simulates the difference between getting to shore on their own power and having to us LCACs over a couple hours to get the whole battalion to shore.

:)

Maybe a short story is here at place...
Last year i bought a spacesimulation game (X2 the Threat by Egosoft). After a few hours playing i almost decided to throw the CD out of the window. That game is also incredible complex for guy's like me.But then i discovered the Egosoft forum and the members and staff helped me a lot.Now that game is one of my favorites ever played..
The X2 forum has now more then 100,000 !!!! registred members.. and thats a hell of a lot for a "small" developer !
So for BG: keep attention to forum (keep it alive by swift responses) and for the members... help eachother (don't flame etc) and i foresee a bright future for SR2010... :D

Cheers

Stuck how? There is a rule that amphibious units can enter water but they can never move from water TO water. This simulates the fact that they have a limited amphibious range...

Stuck as in I had to send a Helo to bring them back to land. I'll try this again and see what happens.
