Izmash the makers of the Kalashnikov have declared bankruptcy. It makes me wonder was the AK-12 born out of proven science on making a better gun. Or was it born out of the need to make somthing new for people to buy for the company to stay in buisness?

Of course no! Izmash has changed owner. Nothing changed.
There is no cause for warning about Izmash.

Well, if it is as good as it is said, Putin's modernisation of Russian Forces is going well. I think he don't want Russia to fall behind China in matter of millitary.
