Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
Although it wasn't completed up until 1968, the construction of Željava underground base started in 1948 (coordinates in the link). So maybe just adding the military hex to the location would be enought?
After all, it was one of the biggest underground air bases in the Europe during Cold War (and the biggest military base in Yugoslavia up until its devastation in 1995).
EDIT: also, a part of the so called "Autoput Bratstva i jedinstva" (Highway of Brotherhood and unity ) which construction started after the WWII was finished in 1950, connecting Zagreb and Beograd. So...please consider put it in? (if you need, I can provide the hex coordinates through which the road should pass)

Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
Construction of the Željava or Bihać Airbase, code-named "Objekat 505", began in 1948 and was completed in 1968. During those two decades, SFRJ spent approximately $6 billion dollars on its construction, three times the combined current annual military budgets of Serbia and Croatia. It was one of the largest and most expensive military construction projects in Europe.

Maybe we need new facility - the underground base. They were built during cold war (Area 51, swedish bases, Kapustin Yar). expensive, but very resistant to bombardments. Air units stationed there are also very resistant (if not immune) to all bombardments.

Re: Map Errata (Toponymic or Position)
Will the new "map" ever be cleaned? Especially around rivers and on the coast lines? I like the new look compared to SR2020 but coastline is terrible...or better said any land line close to water
EDIT: Just fishing for info if you ever considered that this has to be done, not looking for "priority label"...

Not a bad idea. Area 51 is more like a 'covered' base than underground. The NORAD HQ in Colorado (Cheynne Mtn) is more like a deeply buried hardened site.Zuikaku wrote:Construction of the Željava or Bihać Airbase, code-named "Objekat 505", began in 1948 and was completed in 1968. Maybe only make it available in mountain areas, however. That is sort of the main reason they are in mountains--granite is hard to penetrate.

However, most are not located in or near mountains. A good example is CFB North Bay, Ontario NORAD's back-up facility for Cheyenne Mtn. Other's are Ark Two located just outside Toronto and Britians is 100ft below Whitehall, London.Aragos wrote:Not a bad idea. Area 51 is more like a 'covered' base than underground. Hex x:843, y:147 should be river wide not river narrow, it is located nw of Antwerp one of Europes busiest ports and a major NATO supply base for REGORGER units comming by sea from the US, Canada and the UK. Antwerp was such an important supply base that after the Br 11AD took it on Sept 4, 1944 the Nazi's launched more V-1 and V-2's at it than London and the port area was expanded between 1954-1965 to help with the increased needs of the REFORGER mission. Antwerp should also have a seapier and airfield as well to represent this.

The Tacoma Narrows Bridge x:199, y:153 is missing, the replacement span opend in October 14, 1950.
Canada's NORAD base, (RCAF/CFB) North Bay x:424, y:160 should have an airfield.
Davis Dam x:207, y:241 and Parker Dam x:208, y:244 have no access to hydroelectric power and hex's x:210, y:150 & x:219, y:150 should be named Grand Coulee Dam, it is the largest hydroelectric dam in the world to date and the largest electricity producer in the US. It's just as famous as Hoover Dam.
Elk River x:347, y:167 should have access to hydroelectric power and a sm hydropower plant, the current Orono Dam has been producing electricity since 1916.
Aruba x:455, y:352 should be named Oranjestad. Aruba is the name of the island/colony the capital is Oranjestad.
Australia should have an air base, RAAF Learmonth at x:1512, y:582. It's been therre since WWII.

Masvingo x:1049, y:513 should be Fort Victoria and Zvishavane x:1045, y:514 should be West Nicholson. There names were changed when Rhodesia became Zimbabwe.
The large hydroelctric dams at x:864, y:147 (Möhnesee Dam) and x:869, y:148 (Edersee Dam) are missing. They were heavily damadged by the RAF, RAAF and RCAF durring Operation Chasstie on 16-17 May, 1943 useing specialy designed 'Dam Busters' and quickly repaired, they are still in operation today.

Zvishavane and West Nicholson are two different cities.
Zvishavane was Shabanie but I can't find the date this changed.

In case I was not clear in my first post, I'm talking about the land textures that, by the looks of it, were never finished properly (textures spilling over the rivers, over the coastlines..etc.).
