It will be secret, apart from the destack bug fixing (and I few other things I think, mainly to do with crashes)

I just hope the main focus of Update 3 was/will be fixing current issues and shortcomings and not implementing new features (that are not connected with previously said issues or shortcomings)...

While I agree that fixes should be priority one.. there is a huge amount of files that were included with the game that still haven't been implemented.. not necessarily features but things like having oceans and lakes switch to a better looking texture when you zoom in like the rest of the terrain. Not sure if this was left out purposely or if its still in the works but either way we have the texture files for it. There are numerous other things I want to see finished that most people may or may not even know are incomplete since they weren't implemented for reasons unknown to me. (poke around in the files long enough you come across all kinds of stuff) :wink:

The ocean/lake textures didn't work properly, it constantly created a tiled pattern that looked terrible. The decision was that the existing imagery worked, some of the dev team liked it that way.

Bah I wanted shiney water.. could have left the option in for us (by us I mean those few of us who poke around anything thats moddable).. I tried doing it but apparently you can't assign any textures to water at all :cry: I did get plains to show the water Textures.. that was.. um interesting lol.

Alls I want to know is will my missiles be able to be targeted at a specific building like a barracks, or land fabrication?
If this is fixed then I dont care how long it takes lol.

Nice try.. but open. \Supreme Ruler Cold War\Graphics\Meshes\TER040.dds :roll: (hint* its not really shiny its a texture trick, but its alot more shiny than what we got now :D )

Plus its already been ruled out since "some team members prefer the current water". not to mention its purely aesthetic so low priority.. I simply want the option to be able to assign a texture to water, they removed the option when they decided not to assign their own textures to it. Everything a modder needs is already in the file.. but its turned off via hardcoding for water hexes. Probably a technical reason behind that decision but since I don't know what it is I get to whine about it. :lol:

Either way that has nothing to do with,

well, seeing as how devs are always looking to give as much information to the public as possible without making promises they cant keep,

I think it's a safe bet that they themselves have no idea whats going on and cant give a date cuz they don't have one.

Meaning it's probably safe to say that the patch will be out after a month or so of the patch notes being out, im guessing thats how long it will probably take for them to do what ever it is they want to do after they figure out what it is that there gonna do lol. ( hangovers are fun.... makes you come up with such intelligent lines )

are we there yet?
