I might release version 0.1 of this mod later.. I'm caching it up right now, Few things I should have done before doing a full cache.. but oh well. (Mainly minor stuff like fixing flags and changing names)

Few more things to fix and tweak.. should release the first version today.

This mods primary purpose to to promote all out global warfare. So I'm adding events to promote that. Most nations who aren't part of a union are allied with one.. so it doesn't take a Union Declaring war to end up in all out war. This mod will be pretty much all war, with massive armies.

Other than a minor fix to the map.. and flag fix I basically just have to finish adding events.
Union List (Subject to change)
Eurasian union- Reincarnation of the soviet Union Not all the land but most of the same land controlled by the USSR. (Warsaw sphere leader)
African Union- All of southern africa (Nuetral)
Arab union- most of the middle east and northern africa (Nuetral)
South american union- All of south america (Nuetral)
Caribbean Union - All of the caribbean other than Cuba (Nuetral)
South east asian Union- Most of south east asia (Nuetral)
Greater India- India + a few nations that were once part of india. (Nuetral)
Greater China- China + Mongolia and taiwan (Warsaw leaning)
North american Union- U.S. mexico and Canada. (Nato Leader)
Balkan federation - Most of the former Yugoslavia + a few other nearby countries (Nuetral)
European Union- All member states of the current EU. (Nato Leaning)
Pacific Alliance- Australia new zealand and various small island nations.

Independent nations
All of central america.
Afghanistan.
Iran
Pakistan
Japan
Turkey
North Korea
South Korea
Nepal
Israel
Georgia.
Switzerland
Norwary
Andorra

Lol I had to do something.. all those poor balkan states were sitting around surrounded by the EU. So i took them all and made them their own union.

What did you base your decision on for grouping nations into unions (not just this one, I would like to know for all). I mean how did you decide which nation should be in which union?

Most I based on current Membership in existing supranational bodies.
EU = EU member states.
South American Union = UNASUR member states.
North american union = NAFTA
Arab Union = Arab league
South Asian union = ASEAN
Eurasian Union = CSTO
African Union = AU minus the Arab league states

Then I looked around and decided I needed a few more, so looked to historical movements.
Which lead me to.
Greater India - Gave india Countries that were once part of it.
Greater China- Gave China lands it has claimed for years.
Caribbean union is based on the west indies federation which actually existed once but not for long.

Pacific union is just based on the New Zealand Australian alliance, and I threw some small pacific islands in there to get rid of them.

Balkan Federation.. I didn't like all those nations surrounded by the EU.
However..if you have a list of Countries who have already been accepted into the EU and will join it in the next year or 2. I can modify this. (as I imagine your complaint is that croatia was accepted into the EU recently but hasn't formally joined it yet, and I was going of lists of current members)

How about the following sorrounded countries Andora, Moldavia, Nepal, Buthan and countries in central america? What would be the purpose of their existance?

Central america is a catalyst for my events.. I Thought about giving them a Union but decided it would be much more fun to have a Eurasian backed Coup in panama.

Ukraine was left out because it has stated in the past it has no intentions of joining any alliance or union.
Nepal and bhutan Border 2 different Unions and will likely start with an alliance with greater india.

I repeat though.

Also.. the EU already has almost 2x the amount of fabs etc as any other union.. So i could give them the balkan states since all are working on joining the EU.. but I need to rethink the balance of power. Maybe Having a few of the weaker unions allied with each other.

I haven't released it yet.. so its all up for debate.

No, man, no complaints. As I said, I just wanted to figure out how you made your decisions. Eventhough personaly, I can't imagine a situation (apart from world being invaded by aliens) where such a union (balkan union) would be created, I don't mind you creating it. You are creating a mod the way you see fit, no problem there

Hmm ya.. I can make them a part of the EU doesn't matter to me. The balkan Federation was kind of an after thought. Moldova/andorra... neither have any aspirations to join the EU.. and I can't see them joining anything else. I've got to recache to fix a few mistakes. (Georgia is U.N. controlled and the falklands are part of South american union) So if you have any suggestions nows the time to put them out there.

Or make the balkans part of the EU?
Honestly they will be easy Pickings for the EU even as a Union..

Somehow I doubt Greece will ever let Macedonia join EU but than again, by 2014 Greece might not even be in EU
