Can I get atleast 1 more person willing to help me remove these.. as much as i like checking the wiki 2 or 3 times a day for them to delete them I could use some help.(I've been doing it solo since Cold war was released)

yeah I can help you out, is there an easy way to find new spam posts on it so they can be deleted?

Check the recent changes.. they are usually labeled as some spam name or they post on their user page.

All 3 of the new pages are spam. 2 are labeled so its easy to tell they aren't related to the game. the last is on a user page.
Pretty much if you see the (+###) in a recent post and its not related to the game is spam. We do get a rare spam that edits an actual supreme ruler page but they are rare. In which case its easy to just undo the edit instead of using select all delete.

We can't delete the pages as users.. only the content. Check my last 500 user contribs for an idea of how much I've kept up with it.

Give me a captcha for a wiki account pretty please.

How did you delete the spam as I could only figure out how to blank the pages whereas it says you deleted the spam.

Maybe the Goats should think about adding some community admins or a captcha to it like Fistalis said.

Same way you did.When you go to edit a page there is a summary box at the bottom that lets you type in what you did. Using auto complete I just hit D and it fills in deleted spam. :wink:

Ok I will start checking it once or twice a day and start helping you sort it out, as well as starting to put some info up on the wiki I have been writing down atm.

(also I hope the Goats send you a Goat for your effort because you deserve one)

Since it's a wiki, can't you view the page history and roll back to a previous version? Been so long I can't remember the layout (7 months long I guess ;))

As users we can undo revisions to pages, but cannot totally remove a page once its been created. You probably have a bit more access to things like that.

I'm not overly worried about most of them.. but if you can delete this one it would be nice.

Ya its a blank page.. but thats 4 words that should not be in the same sentence more or less in the title of a wiki page.

Shouldn't be just check my contribs. Should be a good 500 or so of them you can delete when you have spare time and lots of patience.

Fair warning.. a few of my contribs were actually adding useful and pertinent pages.

Although it seems the wiki keeps a log anyway.. so your deleting isn't any better than my blanking the page other than maybe effecting how and if its indexed.

Just had an idea, maybe have the wiki setup so you need an admin to approve your signup, this was it should get rid of most of the spam, also a captcha would be good if there isn't one already (maybe appoint some of the people on the forums as wiki admins if you don't have time)

Wiki spam has been quite bad recently, but at least were keeping on top of it so keep up the good work guys!
