I've played through 2010 and all the 2020 variations with the late anewbies excellent trainer.

But I don't have the time, intelligence or trainer to get through GC Gold on Steam. There is a trainer somewhere but it doesn't work for me.

It would be cool if some of the veterans could somehow upload their save games right before things really got hot, interesting situations, etc.

For now, I'm struggling along with the non-Gold SC version playing Brazil with the onedaybuild cheat. Man, that's a big country to get organized.

I am confused about what the issue is? Are you typing that you do not want to play the game, but you want someone else to play it for you then upload a save?

I dont think your understand how 2020 works. If you have the update (6.8.1) gold and gc are the same. I am pretty sure even the original is the same when patched to the new one. So anyone that you get the saved game from is going to have it for 6.8.1. which is not going to work for your unpatched version (I am asuming your using an unpatched version of the game since you want to use the old trainer that was compatable with that old version of the mod).

Right, a 6.81 save isn't going to help me with a trainer.

Getting to the point where the game comes into its own takes time. So having access to a well played saved game would save someone like me the many hours it takes to get your country right. Brazil is doing okay. I just couldn't handle jumping in as USA. Too much complexity all at once.

I would suggest grabbing a save game from one of the multiplayer threads. You should be abel to find one with many countries that were run by a human and should be more... whatever it is that you are looking for.. Would that help you?

I am just unclear what you are looking for. You can start a war on day one with any country, you can pick a country that has no units, you can start with no units, you can set easy diplomacy easy money etc.

What do you mean by "comes into its own". You looking for an economic power house, a military powerhouse what exactly? I am truly interested as I may be able to help.

Let's take Brazil, which is supposedly easiest to play. Cassus Belli is highest for Venezuela. But to get my forces organized way up north there is a big effort. Moderate use of money and one-day-build facilities so as not to wack out my economy. Get my units together from all over that very large country and organize them properly up north. Then I take their capital in a day or two.

But let's say some generous player(s) have these or other countries ready to go, at the knife edge. Troops are organized intelligently. Economy as good as possible. I'd love to jump into a game like that. Even in Europe. I love series, but find the HOI's so easy to text mod.

I think I understand what you mean, but what then? Once you walk over that other country you will have the same issue again. You will need to reorganize the conquered countries military. Build new facilities or scrap its old useless ones. Move your forces to new positions etc.

I believe you may be best sticking with the Scenario's instead of the Campaign. Many of them have a onetime goal, capture this or that, then game is over, you can start another. No need to fiddle with much of anything.

I will try that after I take over the world as Brazil

Also, have SRCW with the awesome trainer, but am saving that until I understand the game completely.
