This is a little more detail than we go into. We just use a "class" designation and put the right quantity in. Thanks for the info, I'll look it over and see if it matches what we have. Generally though, I'm confident in the sources we have for existing stuff. I didn't have the future stuff though, thank you for that.
FYI, Since the service life of the Vittorio Veneto has already been extended once, I've decided it could happen again. One of the players starts wtih this in their inventory. They can decide if they want to scrap it or not...

I just looked into it and the two new subs are Gemran U-31 Type 212s so they are already in the Italian inventory.
And for the Vittorio Veneto, you've looked up the wrong Vittorio Veneto;
1 VITTORIO VENETO class GUIDED MISSILE CRUISER (CG)
Name Pendant Launched Commissioned Status
VITTORIO VENETO C-550 Feb. 5, 1967 July 12, 1969 Active
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
The design of this cruiser, sometimes referred to as a helicopter-carrying guided missile cruiser (CHG), was based on the design of the ANDREA DORIA class cruisers. The ship can carry six Agusta-Bell (AB-212) helicopters versus the ANDREA DORIA's four, and she has more extensive facilities for anti -submarine warfare (ASW). The VENETO was replaced as flagship of the Italian Mediterranean fleet by the helicopter carrier GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI . VENETO is to eventually be replaced in service by the new VSTOL aircraft carrier ANDREA DORIA about 2007.
