MH-60G Pave Hawk

Post by FFDmh2223 »

The Pave Hawk is a twin-engine medium-lift helicopter operated by the Air Force Special Operations Command, a component of the U.S. Special Operations Command. The MH-60G's primary wartime missions are infiltration, exfiltration and resupply of special operations forces in day, night or marginal weather conditions. Other missions include combat search and rescue.

There are only 10 in operation with the USAF but, some might want to increase that number.

okay missed that one, also I saw it in there but it wasn't designated as SOF helo, the MH-53J Pave Low III is also a SOF helo. I was wondering if that helo will carry special forcs or not.

It's cargo capacity of 5 tons means yes, it can carrier special forces.

Helos (24 per battalion default) 5x24=120

Special forces (35 squads per battalion default) weight 2 tons, 2x35=70
Ammo for Spec. Forces 0.5 tons, 0.5x35 = 17.5

Total weight needed is 77.5 tons.

Yes. Fly the helo over the hex and you'll see the ground unit's supply status change.

Supply is generated from friendly military bases and cities, and can be gained by any unit in a connected hex.

So with supplying cut-off infantry (or any unit), you load the helo in a connected hex (by letting it sit there a bit) and fly it to the unconnected hex. The heloes only have so much supply so yes, you'll have to be making round trips.
