I need help in editing files in Exel.

I opened up the Default.units file and the data shows up, but its not organized in the cells as its supposed to be, but its all in one stream of numbers. Its impossible to read it, I have to get the numbers to fit into the spreadsheet cells somehow. Does anyone know how to get the file organized?

Rename the file from default.unit to default.csv and it should open in excel in a easier to read format, remember to back up and files you edit before making any changes.

Now once your unit changes are made just rename it back to default.unit and make a new cache(check the supreme ruler wiki on how to do this) for any changes to appear in game.

Hope that helps. :-)

I opend up the localtext-ttr.csv and it has the same problem, all the data are in cell A, they are not organized to being in cells A B C D etc.
This is especially critical when you have long lines of numbers like in the units file like 1,1,1,1,1,1 etc. it should be one number per cell, but for me they are all stacked up in cell A.

localtext-ttr.csv opens fine for me in Excel, just need to resize the cells to see them correctly.

But Ruges had his example file Default.Unit file in the .unit format and that opens up for me as planned, but when I try to open the games own files, they appear disorganized. All the data is just in the A row and not spread out to other cells.

Possibly you could upload your file and we can have a look at it for you!
