hullu, it's just unplayable. i don't know, maybe it's happens only to me, but with the ''bug'' i describe with the petroleum just ruin all game. you can't hold it out, because there is no balance with this recourses: when the petroleum is end, countries can't produce industrial, and if so - the game stops.

by the way, i combined your mod with ruges mod(about the airplanes thing) and it's worked.
i just copied AIREQRESPONSE in the AIParams.csv from yours mod(i think it's the same as in the original game) and thats it.

Water production is a systemic problem in the game, it cost more for wealthy nations to produce pure clean drinking water than poor nations to produce polluted contaminated drinking water, but nobody has ever questioned this aspect of the game before to my knowledge.

I have done some research on Oil production and Consumption, I found that Russia and USA produces too much oil ingame, while Saudi Arabia produces too little, and there is currently a slight surplus production in the world. Though, now when I noticed these "errors", now i'm considering reviewing some other resources as well to balance the game better, most of the resources are still largely based upon BG's work/"view of year 2020".

THIS IS THE BETA2 INFOPAGE!
Download v1.41b2
(BETA2)

This beta, in short, includes 1 campaign, 3 custom scenarios, 1152 new units, 453 modded units, ~195 new leader pics/leaders(I think), New menus, reworked resources(Reworked the WMDATA file and added/deleated facilities), Oil production is now more realistic and other resources work better, other bugfixes and improvements...

the downloadable file is 37,4mb large and the mod size is 51,5mb large.

Install instructions and possible backup
backup:
You should also backup files that you have moded that may be overridden(not intentionally), but if you do not have a moded game, then the only files that would be overridden would be the \Supreme Ruler 2020\Localize\LOCALEN\Variables.INI and \Supreme Ruler 2020\Localize\LOCALEN\LocalText-TTR.csv files in in the Localize folder. You should also backup;
BKGND.png, Cursors.png, FLAGBITS0.png, FLAGBITS1.png, FLAGBITS2.png, FLAGBITS3.png, FLAGBITS4.png, FLAGBITS5.png, FLAGBITS6.png, FLAGBITS7.png, FLAGBITS8.png, MenunewGC.png, splashbox.png, SRBITS0.png, SRBITS1.png, SRBITS2.png, SRBITS3.png, SRBITS4.png, SRBITS5.png, SRBITS6.png, SRBITS7.png, SRBITS8.png, SRBITS9.png, SRBITSA.png
in the \Supreme Ruler 2020\Graphics\ folder.
\Supreme Ruler 2020\Graphics\Meshes\DEFAULT.PICNUMS, should also be back upped.
\Supreme Ruler 2020\INI\AIParams.csv, back up this file if you have it modded, I provide a "AIParamsORIGINAL.csv" that is the original AIParams file.
or
just Copy the \Supreme Ruler 2020\Localize, \Supreme Ruler 2020\INI and\Supreme Ruler 2020\Graphics folders :-)

If this all seems too complicated, then copy all of your supreme ruler 2020 file to a new location and install the mod in the original directory. If then anything goes wrong or you do not wan't the mod you can copy back the supreme ruler 2020 and have your pre-mod installation game back. 8)

Installation
:
1. Extract to your local Supreme Ruler 2020 folder eg. C:\program\Paradox Interactive\Supreme Ruler 2020
2. launch the game and play :-)

This mod is free, can be used it what way suits the user, can be distributed to whom ever/where ever etc... but, the only thing I would ask is that if you use any material from this mod in another mod, you would credit or mention this mod or the author :-)

not until friday unfortunatly :-( , i'm in army service until then :-(. If someone else can I would apryciate it.

But i can tell you about some changes :-) . The AI has been upgraded, with the help of beta2's testers, resulting in Ai NK somethimes winning over SK. Also i have added/deleated oil facilities to better represent present day country productions/consumption, eg. Ingame USA comes close to Real world USA oil prod./cons. There have also been much upgrades to units. There have been also some bugfixes/errorfixes. And some more.

I am not sure if I understand, there is no option to create new countries, besides those who are regions that can be "created". There is no Vassals/puppets/protectorates/colonies in the game :/

Decided to load this up today.. looks pretty good. Other than a few glaring annoyances, which i'll get to (mainly treaty/relations.. and Choosing the queen as U.Ks leader head lol).
But before i start nitpicking let me say..Kudos on it as a whole, resources/leaderheads(barring Elizabeth) and actually adding national variants as separate units.

Now my major complaint, take it with a grain of salt.
Relations seem wonky, the more I look around.. the more it looks like you really haven't touched relations, and the treaties are pretty much crazy. U.S./NK non aggression pact? lol. Mutual defenses everywhere but few formal alliances? etc.

Again though.. great work. I'll play it often once i redo relations and treaties.

I apriciate your honesty :-) and your spot-on.

I agree about the head of state, it's hard to know who is the real leader in a nation somethimes, therefor I chose to use the Head of States for all nations. I might make an exeption for constitutional monarchies :-) .

About the relations, I do also agree, some NAPs has been put up because the AI allways want's to Declare War etc. and I have not prioritized relations as much as needed, due to I put more focus on other things that I thought needs it more.

I have made some major changes/fixes to relations and treaties, all in override form for this mod.

Modern Day Campaign Relations Override
Note you need Modern Day campaign beta 2 installed before installing. Simply copy the files to your GCcampiagn folder and let it overwrite the scenario file, if your unhappy with my changes simply copy Hullu's original scenario file back over mine and Delete UN1.CSV to uninstall.
It was balanced on NO volatility, so people want to see war break out can still pump up the volatility level. Its certainly not complete but I got many of the major changes in. Reflects the modern world as of the start day in my opinion.(note I didn't adjust every relation.. so there are certain to be countries i'm less familiar with that have relations unchanged, would be happy to fix those if people point them out. How are relations between Poland and russia these days? )

@Hullu
I was curious if you were still working on this, as I noticed a few tech problems that need to be addressed.
such as.
U.S. Has coal gasification plants but not the tech.
All countries lack education tech. etc.

Did you plan on fixing these and releasing a new version, and if not do you mind if do, and release it with my relations fixes.

Those fixes would require a new cache.. so would be releasing your work, if your still working on this I certainly don't need/want to steal your project.

If i get hullu's permission to go ahead I'll release the next batch of changes as a seperate Scenario all together so you can keep Hullu's version.
