I finally did it. After months of playing for an hour at a time at work, I have crushed the world. BG should know, I saved Canada for last..and then enslaved them all.

The total campaign took 10 years and 10 months and costs millions of lives...about 200k of my soldiers died and about 30 mil of the world's. Not to mention the many many millions more killed by enemy artillery (I don't use artillery. I'm such a nice guy).

Since I was overflowing with wealth even with 100% social and 20% taxes, I decided to completely modernize my island nation. Below is what a fully exploited Madagascar looks like.

My one complaint? SUPREME RULER 2020 GLOBAL CRISIS EXPANSION IS NOT ON XFIRE!! GRRR. Hundreds of hours of gaming this game are LOST! oh well.

Oh and if anyone cares, my strategy is

40% Paratroopers (Leap Infantry 2 and Light Infantry 2 for weaker nations)
40% Armored Infantry (IFV-1 Crows early on and later on hovercrafts)
10% Engineers and Others. - I am not a huge fan of aircraft or navy as they tend to wreck cities. This just means more for me to repair and less civilians to tax. I am a merciful overlord The only airforce I use are the Cossack transports that you can buy from Ukraine. They carry a TON of cargo even to rival some sea transports. For the larger nations like Russia and USA, I gathered all the conquered air forces from the other 175+ nations and just threw them en mass to Moscow and DC.


Ground Strategy - 7 Unit stacks per city. This means move a stack of 600 units to an open area. Give them a week or so to spread themselves out until they are all stacked 7 high, then move each stack to a designated city. This works with all but the largest nations and is the most effective way I have found to blitz through a country. The only difficult nations I found were USA (it is so freakin huge) and Russia (they don't surrender until every stupid Siberian town is taken).

I built everything on the same day yes. I put ever timber mill, water works, hydro, agriculture, uranium, ore, coal and anything else exploiting natural resources I could all down. I just wanted to see what Madagascar was capable of producing as far as raw materials go. Apparently quite a bit. Of course my 400 vehicle engineer corps helped too.

What did you use for garrison duty ?

Did you mass airdrop the leap 2 ?

Did you defeat a lot of regions in a day or two ,taking enough of their cities and production in the first wave to make them fold ?

With the smaller countries (all but Russia, USA, Brazil, and Aussies) I would mass airdrop units 7 high in every city. This usually involved about 150 transports with 7 infantry each. As my mobile reserve, I would use my Mechanized infantry (IFV-1 Crow, hovercraft and in rare occasions Engineers). The quick units would keep holes filled in case the enemy tried to sneak around my lines as they so often do.

After defeating China, I had some breathing room in the Pacific to play around with ideas so I started dropping Light Infantry IIs. Although they are weaker than Leap Infantry, they are quick and in mass can be deadly. When it came to taking USA, I had the remainder of my Light Infantry IIs (about 320 Units) take Western USA from the Mississippi, My Airborne Units take Florida as a distraction for the US forces (it worked too) and then invade up through Texas with my 650+ mobile ground units.

It took a while to take America but it happened eventually.
