I didn't see anything in the manual on this. How do I use a colony ship? Does it need to be loaded with colonists first somehow, or is it assumed to have a population on board? I am able to get one to land on a world with an existing outpost but the only command available to it then is to Launch. So I feel like I'm missing a step.

They should come with 100,000k population automatically. I'll get some testing done to be sure it's working.

It feels like a problem similar to the one with planetary engineers making outposts, except in this case I can't "force" the colony ship to deploy the way I can with engineers.

I've only attempted to deploy a colony ship on a world that already had an outpost, so it may be different when I send a colony ship first. I'll update if I notice an issue there.
