I dont think Hawaii will be that bad. It will probly be even easier then Peuto Rico. The range is going tobe pretty far for US airsuport to interdict, And they dont have much in the way of units stationed there. And becouse they already lost the battle for PR the response in Hawaii will be even less. The only question now is how much will you have to take before the US falls? Withs its woeful economy, Mar and Dar. it will also probly loose the elections that are coming up next year. which will also affect its standings. If you took out there oil rigs to create oil shortages. even further lowering the US's Mar and ability to move its units. Moving into Alaska would cause the US's to send units on the long journey up there. which would greatly lower there performance stream them in at a handleable rate, lower oil stockpiles, thus making those units easily killable even further lowering its MAR. And would this be enough to cause the US to collapse and surrender?

Ruges, do you have a spy in my inner circles?

What you depicted above is exactly my intentions and pretty much in that order. I have already made two attempts at the US oil rigs in the Gulf and its airforce and navy quickly removes my units before I can destroy the facilities. Cuba still isn't strong enough to go toe-to-toe with either the US airforce or navy but the attrition rate for the US is casting a more even keel on the battlefield.

I agree with you in that Hawaii's defense is limited and will be a rather easy target - once I make the long journey there.

Alaska was going to be my third masterful invasion of the US using Russian territory as my jump point. That operation may be more difficult but I believe it to be manageable and certainly possible.

As I have stated before, this game has been my best to date and I really enjoying the challenge.

AAR continued from 07 JUL 2023…

At 1200hrs 07 JUL 2023 a Cuban AWAC departed from La Paz, Mexico to recon the Pacific route to Hawaii. Three hours earlier Cuban spies arrived in Hilo and Honolulu, Hawaii and reported minimal US presence deployed on the islands and the only barracks was at Honolulu. The AWAC reported very few US surface naval activities along the route, only two DDG-71’s, and only a few naval transports at the two large islands.

Enroute to La Paz, Mexico, the AWAC observed a cluster of US transports sitting idle just outside Mexican territorial waters near Puerto Vallarta. Although empty, the 2x LSD-41(2,000 cargo cap.), 2x LSD-49 (2,000), 2x LPD-4 (7,000), and 2x LHD-1 (12,000) naval transports were still a creditable threat to Cuban operations. On 28 JUL 2023 1x Cuban SSN-773 (referred to as C-SSN-773) passed through the Panama Canal enroute to dispose of the US transports and recon up to the US controlled territory.
At 1400hrs 05 August 2023 the crews of the US transport flotilla anchored near Puerto Vallarta reacted to the exploding sounds of one its LSD-41 transport ships as it began to sink. Over the next 24 hours the crews of those eight ships called for assistance from the US mainland – but help never arrived as the last bow sank below the surface of the Pacific Ocean.
Cuban AWAC sorties continued to seek out the US navy and ground forces and 0200hrs 08 AUG 2023 reported 1x US AO-187 (10,000) and 1x US AKE (8,391) in the vicinity of Chula Vista (near Tijuana, Mexico). Two hours later a second report identified 1x DDG-71 approximately 300km NW of Tijuana and anchored near Long Beach was 1x CVN-78 (25,200) and 1x TAKR-287 (25,500). As the AWAC directed the C-SSN-773 to engage the carrier and transport the sub was attacked by US submarines and had to withdraw to Cuba for repairs.
Through the remainder of August 2023 and into SEPT 2023 Cuban naval warships continued to make harassing attacks into US held Key West territorial waters in preparation for a Cuban SOF insertion in order to seize the islands and create a Forward Operating Base (FOB). The operation against Hawaii has been put on hold until after the Florida Keys have been taken.
Cuban ASW and anti-sub operations conducted in and around the Florida Keys have been successful with no US surface ships encountered and only 1x US SSGN-726 destroyed by 01 OCT 2023. US airstrikes have been largely diminished by Cuban air defense assets, air defense sites, and Zumwalt ships patrolling the target area. The lack of US denial operations allowed Cuban ECB SOF to be inserted at Key West and begin constructing a FOB which will include a sea pier, radar station, air defense site, air field, and a barracks. The bridges along the Florida Keys have long since been destroyed so immediate rebuilding of those major arteries is a top priority.

On the morning of 01 November 2023 the senior Cuban naval officers looked across the starboard bow at what was now the Cuban owned Florida Keys as far north as Turkey Point. The territorial water surrounding these islands are controlled by Cuba and all US attempts at reclaiming any of these areas have been deadly for the US soldiers and sailors.

At 0200 hrs 03 NOV 2023 US missiles, from unidentified sources, were locked onto Cuban Zumwalt ships patrolling the Florida Keys. Cuban air defense systems easily destroyed the incoming missiles while Cuban SH-60B ASW helo’s and Tu-142M-Z aircraft desperately searched for enemy submarines. At 0100 hrs 04 NOV2023, 4x US SSN-773 subs were spotted 32 kms south of East Naples, Florida heading east towards a Cuban Zumwalt. The Zumwalt suffered extensive damage but was able to return to Cuba for repairs while the SH-60B’s and 2x Cuban Zumwalt’s entrapped and destroyed the enemy submarines as they attempted passage through the Florida Keys. Twenty-four hours later a fifth US SSN-773 was spotted and destroyed as it passed south of East Naples.

For the remainder of November, Cuban long range MLRS in Cuba and artillery and mortar units now positioned along the Florida Keys continued firing against US targets along southern Florida as far north as Port St Lucie. The collective intel, from the Cuban radar in the Florida Keys, spies positioned in Florida, and a C-SSN-773 positioned near West Palm Beach, Florida, is allowing Cuban indirect fire assets to continuously suppress US troops.

With the Florida Keys secured, attention was once again placed upon the necessity of Cuba controlling the Hawaiian Islands and at 291200 NOV 2023 4x Cuban GB II SOF were airdropped onto Hilo. The US response was minimal at best with its air force making the largest contribution to their faltering defense strategy. By midnight of 30 NOV 2023 Cuba controlled the Island of Hilo, Hawaii.

As the end of 2023 was coming to a close the Cuban forces took an operational pause to regroup and prepare for a fresh offensive after the New Year. By the end of JAN 2024 Cuba will have 4x Zumwalt’s, 1x AOR-953 (23,000 cargo) and begin production on its first CVN-78 carrier. Here is a US update:
Treasury: -$2.3 Trillion Debt: $9.68 Trillion DAR: 21% MAR: 39% Military Casualties: 316,815 UN Subsidy: 0% UN Approval: 20%

Cuba continues to enjoy higher than expected UN ratings with its approval at 90% and Subsidy at 75%. Cuban casualties have reached 80,000 after losing 185 (+2) units and killing 609 (+79) US units. Cuban relations around the globe are on the increase as in benefits from open trading. Cuba requests military goods, military equipment, petroleum, and other resources are always met and most of the time at prices below the suggested retail price.
The war between Cuba and the US continues into the New Year as the US losses three more SSN-773’s near Cape Coral and Sarasota, Florida. Cuban military planners decided to test the US commitment to the war by airdropping an SOF unit onto East Naples, Florida and immediately withdraw it back to Key West. The US response was significant as 20+ aircraft and 30-40x US ground units, mainly M1A3 MBT’s, converged on East Naples and quickly retook the city.

On 05 FEB 2024 the Cuban radar vic Hilo, Hawaii came online and revealed a large US troop concentration on Honolulu. Taking that island is going to be a challenge to say the least as every km of that island is covered in US troops. Up to now Cuban ASW activities have not begun around Hawaii so Cuban warships have remained in the Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Keys. By the end of February an air defense site was completed and the building of airfield and aircraft fabrication plant where in process.

At 0200 hrs 01 MAR 2024, the Cuban AOR-953 landed 8x Cuban MBT’s (1x Merkava IV and 7x Leopard 2A6) on the peninsula tip (vic 399, 290) west of the Key West islands. Five days later at 0200 hrs an additional 8x Cuban MBT’s (3x M1A1, 2x Leopard 2A6, 1x T-80, 1x Shir-1, 1x Merkava IV) landed on the peninsula tip (vic 401, 291) of the Key West island chain connected to the US mainland. Both of these landings caused a mediocre response from the US, mostly in the form of FCS-W and a few M1A3 MBT’s – with each attempt thwarted and Cuba retaining control of those few kms of US mainland.

The assault on the US mainland, while limited, was a coordinated attack with simultaneous airborne landings against six of the eight US oil refineries in the Gulf of Mexico. The US quickly responded with missile and airstrikes, to include AH-64D attack helo strikes, which destroyed my SOF units but no naval warships moved to retake the refineries. Cuba continues to control these six refineries with operational planning in place to capture the remaining two sites. Here is a US update:
Treasury: -$2.57 Trillion Debt: $9.68 Trillion DAR: 21% MAR: 39% Military Casualties: 417,190 UN Subsidy: 0% UN Approval: 20%

Cuban casualties have reached 80,000 after losing 194 (+9) units and killing 645 (+36) US units.

In the Hawaiian AO, Cuba’s next operational moves will be to secure the naval port and Hawaiian city of Kahului and airfield located at Lanai.

In the US mainland AO, the remaining two oil refineries in the Gulf of Mexico will be captured and an earnest attempt made to establish a second foothold somewhere on the US mainland. Alaska is the next major operation but assets are not in position to conduct such an operation.

As of the last report dated 01 APR 2024, the US was wavering in its abilities to make a difference in the war against Cuba. This was shown in its DAR: 21% and holding and its MAR: 39% and in a slight decline. The military losses to the US were substantial as the number exceeded 644 units lost while in the mean time it continued to lose territory in Florida and Hawaii.

On the morning of 04 APR 2024 Cuban ground forces had moved as far north, along the Florida peninsula, as Turkey Point in the East and controlling the territory in a straight line eastward across the southern tip of Florida. The continued bombardment by Cuban Zumwalts and long range MLRS had completely destroyed several cities in southern Florida such as Homestead and its airfield. The first two weeks of April 2024 was an operational success for Cuban forces as it gained a strong foothold in southern Florida and took control of all US oil refineries in the Gulf of Mexico. To include three of the refineries inside US territorial water near Louisiana and Texas. The latter two weeks of April 2024 was a test to those forces as the US sent wave after wave of M1A3, FCS, and M2A3 units to break the Cuban lines. The Cuban forces were truly in a fight for their lives as the US repeatedly assaulted the Turkey Point area – the only saving grace was that the US only attacked that side of Florida allowing Cuban forces to weaken its western lines in order to support the defense of Turkey Point.
In the early hours of 01 MAY 2024 the US assault began to subside as Cuba took a serious look at the grim situation in which it faced. Consideration was given to fact that over half of the Cuban MBT’s were now in repair and those remaining were in seriously depleted condition. Our only saving grace was the continuous indirect fires from Cuban MLRS, artillery, mortar, and Zumwalt’s that caused the early withdrawal of US forces. The initial assessment showed 6x Cuban losses while the US lost approximately 67 units with countless units now in repair.
The US is determined to protect the Miami area as was shown in its response to Cuban attempts to take control of that area. The battles eventually caused the destruction of the sea pier their and the destruction of the outlying cities. Each attempt at Miami incurred a response from at least 60+ US units from the military base at Fort Blanding, Florida. It was decided that offensive operations would cease until all Cuban forces have been fully repaired.
Cuban efforts in Hawaii continue to threaten US interests for the islands. Another Cuban SOF insertion on 04 MAY 2024 took the city of Kahului from US control. Efforts are still being made to relocate some of Cuba’s long range MLRS to Hawaii to begin softening the US troops on Honolulu. The US submarine threat is still too great and the earliest estimated date for having SH-60B ASW helo’s in that area is later this year.

While on patrol along Florida’s east coast on 101600 MAY 2024, a Cuban Zumwalt sailed within range of US airfield vic Hollywood, Florida and caused a mass exodus of aircraft to other airfields. An estimated 60 US aircraft, all with their health at 40% or less, were engaged by Cuban air defenses destroying at least 17x aircraft.

At 110600MAY2024 : US submarine attacks against Cuban warships continue as another 4x US SSN-773 engaged Cuban Zumwalt’s near West Palm Beach. With the assistance of Cuban SH-60B ASW helo’s all four submarines were destroyed with no Cuban losses. Four hours later another 3x US SSN-773 and then another two hours later a single US SSBN-726 engaged the Cuban Zumwalts in the same area and were also destroyed. The US submarine forces are using available anti-ship missile stocks until their load is used and then they move in for a direct attack.

By late afternoon on 13 MAY 2024 Cuban SOF had taken the city of Lanai, Hawaii from US
troops in order to seize the airfield for future operations. At this point, Cuba owns approximately 75% of the Hawaiian Islands with minimal affect on the US as its DAR remained at 21% and its MAR dropped by one percent to 38%.

By late May the Cuban ground forces had repositioned its fully repaired MBT’s and once again had a fully functional defense on the tip of southeastern Florida at Turkey Point. The Cuban defense consisted of a mixture of MBT’s from T-55 and T-62’s to the better suited M1A1, Merkava IV, and Leopard 2A6. Dispersed throughout these MBT positions were two Elite SOF and various dismounted anti-tank units. Behind these forces were the 2S19M1 Nona 120mm Mortars, a mixture of 155mm SP Artillery, MLRS, and nearby were four Cuban Zumwalt warships. This defense was further supported by eight WS-2 400mm long range MLRS still located in Cuba.

Throughout the month of May the US continued to send constant stream of FCS and MBT’s in an attempt to retake southern Florida. By 01 JUN 2024 the US stepped up its intensity by sending additional MBT’s and M2A3’s in an effort to remove the Cuban forces; however, the defensive line and continued Cuban indirect fire support from ground and naval assets thwarted each attempt.

01 JUN 2024: The Cuban military command has come to the realization that efforts in the Florida peninsula are stagnant as insufficient Cuban forces are available to push our line of advance any further than Turkey Point. An operational hold is being placed in the Florida AOR with increased efforts being transferred to the Pacific and in Hawaii.

On 21 JUN 2024 1x Cuban AOR-953 loaded with 10x WS-1 Weishi MLRS and 1x Cuban Zumwalt passed through the Panama Canal enroute to Hawaii. Cuban AWAC aircraft continues to report on US naval surface activity in the Pacific west coast of Mexico and the US and between 09-20 JUN 2024 had directed the C-SSN-773 to destroying 3x US FFG-7, 3x US LCS-1/1, 1x US AO-187(10,000), 1x US PCG-511, and 1x CVN-78(25,200).

Although the Cuban forces in southern Florida were placed on an operational hold status, the US response to Cuban hit-and-run tactics against Miami was increasingly less and less. This lack of US response was an opportunity in which Cuban forces quickly seized Miami on 29 JUL 2024. Miami was battered and mirrored the WWII cities of Germany as it lay in ruins. By the end of the day, Cuban forces held a defensive line stretching from Miami westward along SR 90 to East Naples.

The Cuban naval flotilla of 1x Zumwalt and 1x AOR-953 arrived southeast of Hilo, Hawaii around early August 2024 but hesitated to enter the US owned water along the outer territorial waters due to US submarine activity in the area. While the SH-60B production continued on Hilo, the Cuban Zumwalt patrolled the Pacific south-southeast of Hilo and on 18 AUG 2024 made contact with and destroyed 1x US CG-52. Later that day the Zumwalt destroyed 1x US LSV-1(1815) vic Honolulu, Hawaii.

Around mid-August 2024, the decision was made to relocate the 8x Cuban WS-2 400mm long range MLRS from Cuba to Key West. This decision gave cause to conduct another anti-sub patrol around Cuba’s northern shore and the Florida Keys, which was wise as the Cuban SH-60B helo’s located and destroyed 1x US SSN-773 inside Cuban territorial waters north of Havana. With the water-route between Cuba and Key West cleared, the WS-2 MLRS was delivered to Key West and deployed for combat operations: their first target – destroy Fort Blanding. The US has been using Fort Blanding as its main base of operations to repair its troops fighting Cuban forces in southern Florida. Destroying this base will ease the US efforts in Florida as it will have to repair its troops further from the front lines. It wasn’t until 23 OCT 2024 before the base was destroyed, but its affect on hindering US operations in the area were observed immediately.

In order to unload my WS-1 MLRS anywhere in Hawaii I had to relocate my transport ship north of the islands as my Zumwalt played cat-and-mouse with the US submarines. The submarines moved south-southwest of Hilo, which was the opportunity for my transport to unload the MLRS at Kahului, Hawaii on 21 AUG 2024 and began immediate bombardment of Honolulu. Shortly afterward, the Cuban Zumwalt destroyed 1x US DDG-71 north of Kahului.
Cuban military leaders have discussed for the past year that the taking of Alaska from the US would be the final nails in its coffin. The problem in this plan is troop commitments in Florida and Hawaii are fully consuming Cuba’s limited military capabilities. In a move that will most likely be disastrous, 3x ECB SOF, 2x Elite SOF, and several Lt Inf (w) units were loaded onto an AN-225 transport and began the long journey to Petropavlovsk, Russia. On 01 SEPT 2024 the flight began out of Havana, Cuba and flew through Mexico, Hawaii, Pacific Isles, Japan, and finally arriving at Petropavlovsk two days later. On 05 SEPT Cuban airborne forces took the city of Adak, Alaska located in the frigid Bering Sea. Two days later the 3x ECB SOF and 2x Elite SOF are airdropped onto the Alaska mainland vic 067,088 to begin construction of a Cuban FOB. US response was limited but sufficient in depleting the available supplies to these forces to less than fifty percent and halting construction.

With the efforts in Alaska and Hawaii once again stalled, the Cuban assault on Florida picked up a new offensive and attacked the cities of Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. The US response was fierce and sufficient enough that Cuban forces conducted a tactical withdrawal in order to defend against the US counter attack.

04 SEPT 2024: UPDATE: After losing Adak, Alaska, the continued destruction of the US bases at Honolulu, and the huge losses to US forces in Florida – the US resolve is surely being tested. Additionally, the US naval and submarine forces have been unable to regain any viable offensive status in either the Gulf of Mexico, Pacific, or Atlantic areas where Cuban forces are operating.

Sporadic fighting occurred in both Florida and Hawaii during 05 SEPT – 26 OCT 2024 with Cuba making great advances into the Florida peninsula. Of note during this period is that Fort Shafter, Hawaii is all but destroyed; Fort Blanding is finally destroyed; and Cuban ASW assets destroy 3x US SSN-773 and 1x SSBN-726 in the Hawaiian Islands. On 27 OCT 2024 the Kennedy Space Center and its facilities were destroyed as Cuban ground forces took West Palm Beach, FL.

During the days of 18-22 NOV Cuba took control of Palm City, Port St Lucie, East Naples, Bonita Springs, Ft Myers, and Vero Beach, Florida.

As of 1200 hrs, 24 SEPT 2024 the stats are reported as follows:

US DAR: 20% with a slight drop; US MAR: 30% and dropping; US Treasury: -$3.34 Trillion increasing; US Debt: $9.68 Trillion holding steady;
CUBA DAR: 34%; Cuba MAR: 100%; Cuba Treasury: $53 Billion; Cuba Debt: Zero
CUBAN Losses: 222 (+28) Cuban Casualties: 104,916; US Losses: 938 (+294) US Casualties: 804,139

NOTE: I will return at some point and include pics to show the progress so that this will make more sense. In all, I believe my campaign against the US has gone remarkably well considering the unbalanced military strengths being in their favor.

I am unsure as to what "event" must happen for the US to surrender but here is a brief update showing that its surrender is close:

17 FEB 2025 - US DAR: 20% and falling
US MAR: 15% and falling (of note: It has shrunk by half in three months)

I am now sending spies to Washington DC to see if an SOF insertion will encourage a swift surrender. In the mean time the US is now sending piecemeal units of artillery, MLRS, dismounted infantry types, etc to their demise. I am freely taking resource, industry, cities at this point along the eastern coast and am now up to the Carolina's as I use the river running from the Gulf of Mexico to Atlanta on my left and and the Atlantic on my right as my left & right boundaries. This game has been a challenge and I am still quite shocked at how far I have made it in this game as their were moments when my front line was literally down to a few beat up units defending the line. Thanks for continuing to read and as stated earlier, I will post some pics soon.

Re: AAR Playing as Cuba - SR2020 GC Update 7...

Post by tonystowe »

The 19 JULY 2025 Saturday edition of the Cuban newspaper, Granma Internacional, had the following headline: “United States on the verge of collapse.” The reporter provided interviews with American citizens who stated that the US Capitol was under constant missile attack with no viable evidence of the US defending against the attacks.”

The Canadian newspaper Toronto Star reported the Canadian PM as saying, “The United States must begin to defend its people and reestablish peaceful communications with Cuba! We had advised the US against its initial invasion of the island in early January 2020; however, the US was not interested in our reservation of war. The refusal by the US Government to end this war and save its citizens is clear evidence that it cannot manage itself and is choking on its own blood.”

The Frankfurter Allgemeine out of Germany is quoted as saying, “The United States inability to defend itself is a tragedy and will be studied by military scholars for the foreseeable future. The world will not be the same if the US falls to Cuba and those regions supporting Cuba, in its destruction of the US, will quickly fill the void. Why will the US not approach Cuba in an attempt to stop this war?”

The US news agency, CNN, was brutal in its verbal attacks against the current US administration and its failed management of the war and its ultimate failure of protecting US sovereignty. The agency reported that its research showed the US diplomatic and military approval ratings were falling much faster than previously reported.

05 JUL 2025: Over the (game) weekend, celebrations and street parties were occurring throughout Havana and across the Cuban island as the people praised their leadership in the greatest military feat in Cuba’s history. The streets were littered with confetti and signs of a massive celebration after Cuban radio and news stations began announcing that Cuban missile and artillery forces had started bombarding the US Capitol. One Cuban store owner is quoted as saying, “Death to the US and its imperial ways! Its destruction has been caused by its own greed and power hungry leadership!”

The decline in the United States ability to defend itself had become most evident during the spring of 2024 and as the year progressed so did the Cuban ability to operate unchecked throughout the southeastern United States. The US Naval and air forces have shown very little in terms of operational capabilities and when these forces did make an attempt to join the fight it was poorly organized and inefficient, resulting in more losses to US equipment and personnel. The Cuban military has managed to accumulate upwards of 90% success in its offensive and defensive operations against US forces as indicated by UN loss percentages. These successes have facilitated the Cuban control of every type of military fabrication facility throughout the southeastern states and the trade off is starting to take its toll on the US economy and military production. The loss of several key military installations in the southeast US, some destroyed while others were taken, has clearly shown the world that the US is not capable of defending itself.

At the end of November 2024 the US domestic and military approval ratings were already showing signs of a complete breakdown. At that time the US DAR was barely holding at 20% while its MAR had declined to 30%. The US financial status was appalling as its treasury sank to an all-time low of negative $3.34 trillion while its debt remained at $9.68 trillion. On top of all of this misery the US government could not offer any answers as to how it was losing four times the number of military units to a region who is barely a speck on anyone’s radar! The US loss of 938 units and a casualty count almost reaching 900,000 is most assuredly causing the US administration a migraine of unbelievable proportion.

The last two months of the year 2024 was a huge military success for Cuban forces as it steadily, without any real US response, took control of US cities, industry, military bases and facilities. The speed in which the Cuban forces moved allowed quick and decisive response to every US military attempt at dislodging the Cuban offensive. During this time, Cuban long range MLRS and artillery units were instrumental in softening the US defensive positions and facilitating Cuban successes.

During the course of the 2024 year, Cuba made one to two requests for a Peace treaty each month and the US continued to deny the requests. The US administrations outlook on peace changed at some point as they were ready to agree around mid-December 2024. However, the opinion of such a deal on the streets of Cuba was not in line with such a deal and as one Cuban farmer put it, “To hell with the US administration and their begging for a deal. They refused our repeated attempts to stop this bloody war but their greed and selfishness would not allow them to listen to reason.”

As the New Year rang in around the world, Cuban forces were tightening their control on all territory in southern Florida as far north as Ocala, Florida and across to both beaches. Intelligence agencies from China and Russia claimed that the US diplomatic and military approval ratings were, in fact, falling much faster than previously assessed. Reports showed that on 01 JAN 2025 that the US DAR had dropped to 19% and that its MAR had fallen fourteen points to an unprecedented low of 19%. The US treasury has swelled to a staggering negative $3.48 trillion, an increase of $14 billion in a short 38 days. The casualties from this war continued to grow as the US losses totaled 1136 units KIA and 916,929 military casualties while Cuban losses were at 226 units and 112,276 casualties.

During January and February 2025 the Cuban offensive focused on the capture or destruction of US military facilities. Fort Rucker, Ft Benning, and Ft McPhearson were a few that were destroyed while other facilities such as Augusta, GA and Moody AFB were captured. The decision to destroy a facility was made in order to hinder the US capability to return troops to the battlefield quickly by destroying its bases in the deep battle. By the first week of March 2025 the US DAR was holding at 19% while its MAR continued to decline to a new low of 13%. By the end of March 2025 the US DAR was up to 20% and its MAR was at 10% as its economic decline increased with its treasury topping negative $3.75 trillion as the US added another $27 billion.

During March, 4x Cuban GB II and 4x Elite SOF were tasked with taking Honolulu. It seemed like a long shot due to the number of US forces on the Island but appeared that the partially destroyed barracks and sea pier would hinder US supplies. On 282000 MAR 2025 the Cuban SOF airdropped onto Honolulu and fierce fighting ensued. The Cuban AN-225 returned to its airfield to resupply and then returned to the battle to provide supply for the SOF. The battle for Honolulu lasted until 300000 MAR 2025 with the loss of 4x Elite SOF and on 31 MAR 2025 the cities of Waipaliu and Ft Shafter were taken under Cuban control. At this point, all of Hawaii is under Cuban control and the US response was interesting in the number of B-2 and B-52 bombers that arrived after the battle had ended. Two or three US DDG-71 vessels appeared north of Hawaii and each were sunk by missile strikes from the Tu-142M and the Cuban SSN-773.

Going into April I was beginning to see more and more incidents of US troops, MBT’s (M1A3’s and LCS-W) randomly popping up at US bases that I had destroyed months before. FT Rucker, FT Blanding, and FT Stewart were the worst as each time I would count approximately forty new US MBT’s ready to fight. These bases caused my strategy to suffer as I had to constantly maintain troops within proximity of these bases so that any occurrences were contained. I found with each occurrence that the US units were fully supplied and ready to fight, however it was surprising at how few troops I required to contain the forty or so units.

With Cuban controlled territory creeping more and more northward and now encompassing Georgia, the Carolina’s, and parts of Virginia, the US began another naval assault. The incident occurred near Myrtle Beach, SC where 3x US DDG-71’s, 1x US DDG-51, and 1x US DDG-1000 Zumwalt attacked the 3x Cuban Zumwalt’s. The battle was interesting as Cuban aircraft and naval vessels, assisted by ground artillery destroyed the US vessels without any Cuban losses. The US vessels had a mixture of anti-ship and ground attack missiles on board and they used all of them during the assault.

As 30 APR 2025 was coming to a close Cuban forces had taken Ft Jackson and Columbia, SC; Charleston, SC and the surrounding cities with other minor gains on the western front through Alabama and Mississippi. The Scorecard showed the US DAR: 20% and the MAR: 7% with the US losses up to 1,638 units while Cuban losses were at 246. The US financial situation continued to deteriorate as its treasury was negative $3.93 trillion as another $18 billion was added. The US credit must be in complete disarray as its debt has remained at $9.68 trillion.
During May 2025 Cuban forces continued to expand its AOR and defeating the US “phantom menace” spawning at the bases previously mentioned. By 23 MAY 2025 Cuban forces had taken FT Bragg, SC and the surrounding area putting the US Capitol in a dangerous position.
In June the US lost another 2x DDG-71, 2x US SSN-773 and 1x US SSGN-726 vic Morehead City and Virginia Beach.

On 05 JUL 2025 Cuban forces have secured an area 325 kms south of Washington DC and moved in 15x WS-2 400mm Long Range MLRS in preparation for an indirect fire campaign. As the last WS-2 was moving into position 20x WS-1 Weisha MLRS fired approximately 200x SS-26 Stone Penetrator missiles at the US Capitol. At the same time the WS-2 began firing on known US positions around the city with air defense units in an attempt to suppress their abilities to counter the missile strike. The operation was a huge success as the US Capitol was reduced to 50% strength with the other buildings at that location reduced as well. After the missile strike, the WS-2 MLRS began a ‘round-the-clock bombardment of Washington DC.
The US did not respond as I was expecting to the indirect fire against its Capitol, so I redeployed forces and was able to capture Durham and its barracks; took Raleigh, NC; and expanded the Cuban control and reconnaissance along the eastern US coast and into the Atlantic Ocean.

TIME NOW: 19 JULY 2025: The US DAR: 20% and holding; The US MAR: 5% and dropping; the US treasury is at an unbelievable negative $4.01 trillion – another increase of $8 billion in less than thirty days. The death toll for this war has reached the following numbers: The US: 1,929 with 1.23 million casualties while Cuba has lost 262 units and only 155,358 casualties. One item that I have not reported on until now is the Build Capacity for each region. The US: 79/28/10/20 Cuba: 9/4/6/21

As of 0200 hrs 19 JULY 2025 the US Capitol of Washington DC was at 20% strength and declining!

Be careful,if you destroy the capital, you may end up with an "undead capital" which can hold up the collaspe of the region.

Interesting... I had not given any consideration to this being an issue! At this very moment the every structure in the capitol has an empty bar as my MLRS continue to kill off the citizens. I will make sure that I save regularly to see if this is this case.

This game just rolled into 25 SEPT 2025 and the US DAR continues to flunctuate between 18-21%; however, its MAR has fallen to 2% and the country continues to hang on. The US military is completely inept at this point with the region losing battle after battle as I capture its cities. The largest US force that I encounter now are the 3-4 garrison units that pop up when I approach a city.

What is the breaking point for a region to surrender is still a mystery to me. I had placed alot of faith in that once the US MAR dropped below 5%, and I held it there for more than 10-15 days, that I would at least see some form of diplomatic request or its surrender. To date I haven't seen either event. I am thankful that no other region has joined the fight against either of us as I do not want to share the spoils of the US nor have to fight a second front.

A missile strike of 20x SS-26 sealed the fate of the "icon" of the Washington DC, but the game still recognizes that hex as the US capitol and its business as usual. Is this a possible bug similar to the phantom base issue?

It's a circumstance for which no special code was written. It has been mentioned before. That hex is still the capital, taking the hex will have the normal effects despite the facilities no longer being there.

Like i said,"undead capital".

Want to see something really funny and freaky ?Let the region continue to live for a long time, but destroy all of its barracks. And you might get to see units spawn from the undead capital.
And some of those units can even have zero health, zero supply, and zero ammo, but still move around on the map.

And yes its VERY similar to the phantom base issue.

Those would likely be trades from regions/UN

When a country has no barracks, the capital becomes the default delivery location.
