After some steps at terrain modding, i can only see the full rectangular terrain textures.
Even putting all the original ter. meshes, ter. textures and .terx file back in place it still is not resolved.
How to get that default terrain view with the round "corners" which blend into other hexes.
Which file or setting governs the blending of the terrain textures?

there's an alpha blending modulation texture
GRAPHICS\MESHES\HexMask.dds
and the terrain file must not have the texflatnomask flag set

Can you give some info about the .terx parameters especially those where the texture numbers are defined:
ie: NoHM,Fx1.1,FTx1.1,FTt1.1,FxSc1.1
these are empty most of the time - but several times also NoHM was used - what is it ?
Also is it possible to define a terrain tile as a source of light (maybe even with rgb and intensity values) ?

not supported by the graphics engine.
I'll open a ticket for the rest of your question and see if I can dig up more info next week.

I've copied to the Gamepedia our notes for the values in the Terrain file used for the 3D meshes. Hopefully they make sense, I haven't worked with these values in a couple years and don't fully remember it all.
