Trench Warfare
How would trench warfare work in SRGW? Are they like fortifications or what?

Re: Trench Warfare
Trenches are in the game. They take 3 days to build and can be garrisoned. They are just hex upgrades
I fortified Germany's border en the 1914 campaign with them to test the concept and I'm surprised, they seem to work quite well. These initial test make me thing that garrisons are not longer just "speed bumps" but viable defenses.
Fortifications, they are there, I haven't use them yet (other than taken a few from Russia) but it looks like they work the same as in SRU.
So far I haven't seen the AI building trenches...

The stats for Garrisons have also been altered and a new system of "stat progression" for garrisons has been added. Around 1928 there is a tech that moves garrison stats up a bit so they scale to the WWII leg infantry units. The garrisons progress a number of times between 1914 and 2050.
