While playing the Ottoman Empire, a Turkish merchant ship refused to move further southward thru the Suez Canal and remains fixed, at: X 1032 Y 261 hex.

The problem began @ November 1, 1914.

Prior to this date, there were other Turkish merchant and warship transits of the Suez Canal.

Maybe you can review.

The location of savegames on a mac should be something like this:

/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Supreme Ruler Ultimate/SupremeRulerUltimate.app/Contents/Resources/drive_c/My Games/Supreme Ruler Ultimate/Savegame

You need to explore the content of SupremeRulerUltimate.app clicking it will just start the game

You might have a hard time finding this as part of the directory should be hidden by default. IF that happens to be the case use Steam to show the local files (or whatever it is called).

That will cut the path down to this:
/Contents/Resources/drive_c/My Games/Supreme Ruler Ultimate/Savegame
