1914 sandbox

I researched some 50's military techs and UI is back to cold war theme.

Air Force Production '53 reverted ui to 1936 style....

I guess you could bring back tech level as completely passive value:
It could be used as rough indicator of AI technological level - that stat could be in column of atlas and it could be used to swith UIs - researching anything from '36, '50 and '89 tech level would switch UI to SR 36, Cold War and SR 2020 themes.

Bringing back the tech level isn't possible, it's tied to things that no longer have an effect, that change was made on purpose.

I'm not sure what happened to the UI. The following techs set what UI you see;

@1925 - Basic Electronics - '36
@1948 - Automated Assembly Lines - '49
@1995 - Advanced Industrial Production - modern

I still have '36 UI even though I'm researching '60/'70 techs.
Maybe somewhere UI change was accidentally left in other techs?

I looked for techs that have effect 23, those are the only techs that have that effect.

Well then looks like this bug is pretty weird.
At least most obvious option was ruled out.

If you could email the savegame or upload it somewhere, we'll take a look.

Okay, I uploaded savegame
I'm researching 60's/70's techs and I'm in 1940 something year.

Suddenly I have cold war UI back.

Maybe AIs researching "UI trigger" techs swith UI too?

@1925 - Basic Electronics - '36
@1948 - Automated Assembly Lines - '49
@1995 - Advanced Industrial Production - modern

So UI switching between '36 and '49 theme would be caused by AIs researching Basic Electronics and Automated Assembly Lines.
