As usual, I just don't have the time to dive into this debate. I do understand your point of view and don't see you as a nut or anything (well, maybe just a little ) but still feel that human development is "weakening the construction of the house" but I'm certainly not the one to go around offering supporting evidence for this position, I've just not made it my priority to gather all the relevant evidence. I'll just keep walking in and out of the conversation.

Something like this has been suggested quite a few times The main problem people tend to forget: Each instance has to be hosted. If you'd multiply each and any instance in the game by, for instance, the number of quests available in said zone, the hosting center would probably go *poof*.

This is, technically, not only hard to do, but very expensive on an economical and ecological scale (power consumption, for instance).

This is no joke.Some Funcom mouthpiece claimed part of the reason they were not currently
adding new content in some forms was that it would have environmental consequences.

So now, Age Of Conan is the train wreck it is partly becuase Funcom was worried about global warming

Despite all the gloom and doom forecasts of how this year the ice melt was gonna be worse than last year, it wasnt.

One more case of being wrong that will likely be ignored and or spun to still show the ever loooming doom......

The "experts" now say, that since 2006 China NOT the U.S. has been the leading CO2 emmiter.

And that China, not the U.S. is also rising in terms of emmitting far above any nation.And that infact, the U.S. had a 1.4% drop in emmisions during 2006.While China went from 2% below the U.S. in 2005 ,to 8% above it in 2006.

And India is poised to overtake the U.S. for position number 2 in the upcoming years.They will of course obertake russia ,current number 3 very sooon.

Heh, ill admit i didnt read all of this post....bit to long and repetitive for my tastes.
I do wana point out something thou, millions of years ago an asteroid/comet hit the earth and spread into the air thousands of times as much material, gas, dust and so on as what there is in our air currently. From what scientests say, anywhere from 95% to 98% of all life perished within days. Fastforward to today, and there is billions of humans (and even more animals) living on the earth today. If the earth can come back from a disaster like that, what we humans are doing must seem like a "very small scratch" on the surface.

As was commented (i forget who said it, sorry) the more co2 in our air, the more plant life there is, and over time (be it years, decades, or even centuries), the balance will be swung back to better places. If we are here to see it or not, well thats another matter, only time will tell.

There is way to much to say on the subject. So I will keep it short.

Global warming has two meanings. One is a rise in temperature, and the other is us poluting the world causing a rise in temperture. Need to clarify which one you are talking about when you are for or against the subject.

There is no evidence that we are causing a rise in temperature. However there is also no evidence that we are not causing a rise in temperature.

There is some pretty compeling evidence that we could be causing a rise in temperature. However the cause can also be attributed to other things, and unkown things. In the past millions and millions of years there have been wild changes of temperature. Hell maybe we are still just coming out of the last ice age. Some the the things that have been sugested to prevent the rise in temperature are the equivalent to cuting off our own foot becouse of a blister.

So I dont know if we are or are not causing a current warming. But I do know that it has a happened in the past without our help. And thats to say if we even have a current warming issue. Sure it is proven that it is a few degree's warmer the last 20 years then it was the last 40 years. But it is not proven that this is not a same trend that has happend millions of years ago. Sure there are a few chemical difference's. but that does not prove it not the same cause.
