Yup, and the annexion day is 1th January 2015, the speach Putin gave after the signing was really patriotic and defiant to the west. Like he's trying to give a message to the West, this is what happens when you threaten us.

Meanwhile in Crimea..

Not connected directly to Ukraine situation but if this is not a trolling attempt, than it sure makes an interesting development in this US-Russia "chess game they are playing at the moment"...
March 23, 2014.
Argentina, South America’s second largest country, has agreed to host Russian military bases on the South American continent.

The funny thing about all of this is China and Russia are in negotiations for Russia to supply China with natural gas and other minerals from Siberia. The natural Gas pipeline is supposed to be agreed upon by May.

With Russia annexing Crimea and all the sanctions against them this has tipped in China's favor because China was fighting for lower payments then what Russia was selling to Europe.

The EU should focus on getting peace settled in Cyprus, and discuss getting natural gas pipelines built from Israel, Cyprus through turkey to southern Europe. Would be able to cut off that Russia Gas problem.

Advantage of non-interferance ;)... countries will start negotiating for your trade favours... Like the US before WW1. This will also potentially puppetize Russia, in form of Russia getting economically dependent on China and make China even more powerful

There was a really good article on Helsingin Sanomat about a person or more correctly a team he worked with, that predicted the Ukrainian conflict and it's nature. He published an article in 2008 about the topic. Helsingin Sanomat(Helsinki Times, news paper) contacted this guy and interviewed him. Unfortunatly I wasn't able to translate that Article, but managed to get a good translation of his 2008 article. I apologize for any google errors in the translation that might occur, bt it seems to have translated the article quite decently.

****, this could blow up into full-scale war if it turns out Russia is actually conducting military operations in Eastern Ukraine.

EDIT: Just watched some coverage of CCTV America, where they said it was deliberate on the part of the Ukrainian military to use a Russian flag, so that they could peacefully enter pro-Russian Area's. Still waiting for this to be confirmed by other media. So Ukraine is resorting to false-flag operations against what they call "terrorists"... this doesn't bode well...
