Computer Requirements

Hello,

I'm looking at buying a new PC and I was wondering what kind of PC's other people are using. I need a computer which will be able to run PC games really well, but still be affordable. Any recommendations or help would be much appreciated :-) I've never had a computer that was able to run Supreme Ruler without lag lol.

Build your own. that's going to give you the best bang for your buck. (and its actually really easy to build if you any type of mechanical smarts). Tons of online sites that will give you exact walk threw. PCgamer also usually lists a basic gaming build in the back of there gaming mag (they also have a PC building mag).

Depending on what budget, for low-budget I would maybe go with an AMD APU, with mid-range an FX-8350+good graphics card or high-end and I5/I7(depending on your use) with an good graphics, maybe an 7870 graphics, which is good. If you have money over, maybe an SSD

I've been "making" my own PC's since 1998 so if you could provide some kind of budget and few games you intent to play on it, I will suggest a configuration that fits both requirements.

A fast scroll through Newegg... you can get decent computer power :-) . It would'nt be a 'gaiming' PC though.

There's also Options from Intel and maybe better parts for this package, but as an example that it can be done :-)

$400 is not going to get you a gaming PC. Double that to about $800 And you can start looking at some low mid ranged systems. And if you went up to about $1200 you could start getting some builds that could run the game well.

You get more 'gaiming' power from the first option since the second only seems to run on an integrated graphics chip and it's processor only having an old 2-core processor. Although none of those is something I would spend money on for gaming due to them both being not that good towards gaiming.
