Give it a week or so,becuase if the latest version of the story is accurate,they cant say for sure if it was him.For almost a decade there have been stories of doubles recruited to pose as him to make getting him that much harder.

Anyway, if he was killed, another leader takes the helm of Al Qaeda. Is not a very big achievement, it will probable intensify the terrorist attacks as a revenge for his death.
The Al Qaeda is not defeated only because Bin Laden was killed, his already a hero and a martyr for them.

I don't think it is dumb, he has been deemed responsible for atrocities on human life.
His death marks progress for the alliance against terrorism.
I am unsure it will be a good event, there will probably be a marked resurgence, resulting in many deaths.

He has quite a large family, presumably the DNA they got from his brother or maybe one of his sisters.

Salem bin Laden who died in 1988, when a plane that he was flying flew into powerlines in San Antonio, Texas.

He also has family members based in Saudi and US, some have spent time in the UK, Switzerland. I am sure it wouldn't take to much to either have hacked medical records or to have had them already from his sister or brother that had died.

The more solid proof will come from operations and reactions.If he's dead,his absence will show over time, and his followers will talk of it and look for a new leader.

The death,true to not, will also have the effect of making his supporters come out and bad mouth the west.Which helps by allowing others to see them for what they are..they wont be able to stop themselves from making such statements,their personality will compel them to do so......

True enough, but theres a difference between asking for reasonable proof,and not accepting it when its given.I firmly think it was him, and hes dead now, but i also think theres also not enough proof released yet to unquestionably nail it down as such.

And the burial at sea seems like a very questionable choice...
