Re: ahhhhh, chavez....
Some explanations (based on the experience Russian online forums)
Russian propaganda says very little about Chavez (in particular because he gives cheap gasoline to people and Putin don't). Mainly in the listing of the leaders who opposing the evil world order and the US. There is a some praise for the purchase of Russian arms. So the true tactics for a Russian statist is don't present its theses but attack and challenge others in all possible and impossible ways (find fault even for missed umlaut especially if it wasn't to be).
Another coup is to drag the dispute to a more prepared field. There is many cheat sheets in Russia about the Gaddafi and Assad. Repetition allows to memorize it by heart and burn it on the brain. Later the Russian statist show off his cleverness and you (the Western zombificated fools) are looking for tips and instructions in your deceitful media.

Not sure... Is there sarcasm in your message? As I know Russia Today don't praise either Assad or syrian rebels (Syrians Talibans, Jihadist, Iraki Al-Caida organisation, some of the terrorist who killed Gadhafi and Kurds).Lea wrote:Some explanations (based on the experience Russian online forums)

Re: ahhhhh, chavez....
Where is sarcasm? How could you think that? I just said that you have to know almost nothing about Chavez, but will whitewash him by analogy with Assad and Gaddafi (fair man in severe condition and surrounded by enemies, etc., off-topic) Also please don't ask me to reconnect you to the nearest point of the lying media.Niko465 wrote:Not sure... Lea, did you bothered to read what I posted? And if so, did you understand it?
I am Venezuelan, my family (middle class) is still trapped there...I talked to my mother yesterday and they couldn't find coffee or sugar in the stores... Last week, the missing product was milk...
Crime, is on the raise... In 2011 there where close to 20,000 homicides...
Of all my high school and university friends, close to 20% are still at Venezuela... The rest (including me) left the country...
Chavez, best friends includes Fidel Castro, Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi...
I lost count of how many times he has changed the constitution so he can hold all the power for live... Democracy? Sure:

I would encourage a different word that "destroy" if you're going to make such broad sweeping statements. I consider myself a social democrat and Canada is fairly socialist in it's politics (Healthcare, Education, etc). I don't like people coming to our forum saying I and my countrymen should be destroyed.

Re: ahhhhh, chavez....
I think there is something lost in the translation. If you use words like "evil" and "zombification" it comes across as being sarcastic but you stated it wasn't. I'm a bit confused by your post.

And why denying of sarcasm can't be sarcastic?

You didn't answered me. They can't eat 3 meals a day? They get arrested for contesting Chavez? There is lot of corruption? If one of these are true, it's not communism.Draken wrote:Lea, did you bothered to read what I posted? And if so, did you understand it?

Since when Castro is bad? Because he freed Cuba from Batista? Or maybe because he humilliated USA. Twice(650 humilliation if we count all the assassination attempt they made against him(648)). Or because he have very good relations with Canada... Because of free health care and education, 99,8 literacy rate.

Just because a country doesn't succeed at being communist doesn't suddenly make it not communist. If corruption trumped communism then the Soviet Union was never communist and neither was any other country in the world.

Re: ahhhhh, chavez....
Not such a ridiculous idea. Communism classically was always without currency; it would be a little tricky to have corruption in such a condition. Because that sort of thing was not feasible, the soviet union for example (U.S.S.R.) claimed to be a socialist rather than communist country, led by a communist party.Balthagor wrote:Just because a country doesn't succeed at being communist doesn't suddenly make it not communist.
