More than 300 people have been killed in political killings in Karachi this year, say human rights organisations.

And common thought is,that this just between official political parties for the most part so far.Though one of those parties is Pashtun ,which of course is the ethnic based core of the pakistan taliban.

Though its being put forth that this lastest one, was commited by a militant group.300+ in just 8months,can you imagine how high that number will go when the terrorists get fully involved .........

"Shakeel Barni, an arrested activist of a defunct organization, said that they had designed to murder three leaders including Haider and carry out two suicide attacks in the funeral," Malik told media outside the parliament.

Barni admitted that he had links with Taliban in South Waziristan who are guiding and funding them to destabilize the city with such killing activities," Malik added.

If true,its interesting to note the violent riots may have stopped or delayed further planned attacks,and might even have saved lives.Two suicide attacks on a funeral for a popular local figure would have likely had a large body count.

Before this assassination,more than a few of those cheering this mans murders were called moderates.Jamaat Ahle Sunnat,the group of 500+ "scholars" have til now been repeatedly called moderates,and the Barelvi sect of Sunni Muslims long held out as a moderate branch of islam,yet here they are praising this man's murder....

Paki has nukes which makes us want stability in the country. Would be bad if the Tailiban or some other militant islamic group got ahold of them.
