Then it's also debatable what effect it would have on India. India doesn't want pakistan since it would cost them too much to fix, and they'd be having their own Iraq there with constant insurgencies. This would leave India rather unchecked except for China, and has two outcomes.

It allows India to focus more resources on China and thus we get China better contained from India.
2. Since the main nuclear threat against India is gone, there might be pressure from China, Russia, and the various left wing European states to have India give up their nukes. This gives china the long term upper hand in the area.
