Interesting,but not a threat to forums.Freedom of speech,None-commercial interest,Fair Use Doctrine,and various other aspects make this pretty harmless vs forums.
AND its very likely to backfire,as the sites it does target (blogs) often put information before the public before the "mainstream" press.Not to mention the backlash when popular blogs make it public who came after them,and the customers stop supporting the attacker in droves.
It will really only work on specific targets, and even then only if the targets dont fight back.Its bascially just legal extortion aimed at weak companies.
We wont even go into the simple fact that many (if not most) online "news" orgs now have some sort of "share the story" system that encourages readers to send links and excerpts from their stories to friends.Thus encouraging the very action they now are trying to extort...err..sue for.
All we have here is just a glimpse of some of the 99.99% of lawyers who make the others look bad
