Was reading a little more after today's lifting of the ship's bow. Apparently 'technically' they are still at war because there was no peace treaty signed in 1950-53 Korean War.
Too bad the only people who know how to run the country are busy driving cabs and cutting hair

@Eldin

Don't take Khan's posts too personally. He gets very fired up about poverty and injustice and the like. Idealism can make a person sound angrier than they are, at targets that they are not aiming at.

I could be wrong, but I think "W" made this same exact statement in a speech when he was explaining why we needed to go into Iraq.

P.S. Think how profitable S. Korean factories can be with N. Korean "1 bowl of rice per day" labor to work in them! or... The RoK could take a page out of the Soviet play book and simply starve them all to death ala' Holodomor. Even if they play nicely as the Germans have done, the long term return is worth the short term investment in my book.

It's looking more and more like the DPRK is responsible. Current investigation is saying a North Korean Torpedo was probable. That, unlike a simple leftover mine from 60 years ago, would mean it was intentional.

Id be more likely to believe a mine, than a torp at this time.Though theres been talk of "stealth torpedoes" for circa 6 years now, with Raytheon saying they were working on one, and Iran saying it had developed one,i havent seen any solid evidence one exists yet.
And though NK could have gone the human torpedo route like japan did back in ww2,those are some very rough waters to pull such an attack off in.

I don't either think it was a torpedo, it should of been seen coming, I still it might be a 'inside' job. Though a mine could be perfectly possible.

Maybe it was the Japanese, who plan to swoop in in the chaotic aftermath of a Korean War and take the place over again. They coulda used Mecha Godzilla.

Not if the Aliens that controlled him already took over Japan. This could be the second phase of their conquest of earth.

http://www.spacedaily.com/reports/Explo ... t_999.html
Traces of explosive from a torpedo have been found on debris from a sunken South Korean warship...
Aluminium fragments from a torpedo casing have also been found, Dong-A Ilbo newspaper quoted a member of a team investigating the blast as saying.
Still hard to believe....Be interesting to see how they "explain" the ship not seeing it coming or hearing it being fired .

Why am I so fired up:

*My father worked his hands to the bone across Turkey, Russia and Austria to feed 2 animals-of-kids, save up enough to get a little house, car and finally to send his lazy-ass son to Germany to study, as a Turkish blue collar worker, which in itself is a miracle.Had he gone to Germany and become a german citizen during its economic boom, we would be far better off.

*We struggle for greater financial situation while some american slut wants a huge sweet 16 party in MTV and throws a fit about not getting a 5000$bag which sends my blood beating in my eyeballs and my nostrils give off powerplant-grade steam.

*In the meantime, an east european worker makes ass-nothing and a east european woman falls into human trafficking because prostitution in the countries she is kidnapped to is illegal under the auspices of petty "morals and women's virtue" and thus needs hookers, committing the pinnacle of hypocrisy.

*I see people who make billions under the flag of "religion", NOT working at all while I must still, in this age of 24, learn of goddamn thermodynamic cycles and whatnot to get a degree of energy engineering.

*Whenever I look, I see inequality which could have been corrected ages ago with no great harm to the biggest of corporations. After all, this inequality in the name of profits already turns in form of terrorists and people who are willing to die, forcing you to spend more in military that could have been prevented with social equality 1 percent of what is in worth of military spending..

*As for Korea, I see "Great Reader Kim Jong Ir" that could have been knocked out ages ago, solely existing in lavish kuxury exploiting his people. Seriously, can't you guys send a tiny computer guided thingy right through his bathroom vent blowing his head off?

In short, inequality due to hypocrisy is the one that fires me up the worst.
I cant play SR2020 well but I still love 2010. Chris will hate me for exploiting his game to death.

And somone who is less fornunate then you might look at you and be fired up, Becouse they dont get the privledge of going to some foriegn school to get an education to better himself, and his father worked his entire life to support them.

There will never, never ever, not even for a moment, Not even in death, Be a time when all are equal. Inequality can probly be the meaning of life. Infact just remember that, next time somone ask's you what the meaning of life is, just tell them inequality, not 42.

But back on OT, ABC news on my phone was talking about the ship today. And how its looking more and more like an NK sub shot the torpedo.

They should run the same tests on a ship that has a similar history as the sunken ship. The traces of RDX could have come from many different sources, including from live weapon exercises, and some of the aluminum found has already been shown to be from the ship itself.

Its all pretty shaky evidence being put forth so far.

Says a more fortunate person who got the better end of the life lotto. Pisses me off.
But back on OT, ABC news on my phone was talking about the ship today. And how its looking more and more like an NK sub shot the torpedo.

Code: Select all

On Sunday, Defense Minister Kim Tae-young said that an underwater explosion appeared to have ripped apart the vessel, and a torpedo blast seemed the most likely cause. Investigators who examined salvaged wreckage separately announced Sunday that a close-range, external explosion likely sank it.
Wonder why NK would want war.
