The world's biggest drug maker has been fined a record amount by US regulators for fraudulent marketing.
Pfizer paid the fines to settle criminal and civil allegations that it illegally sold four drugs for uses not approved by the Food and Drug Administration
Becuase,it not like this kind of thing has occured 4 times since 2002 I mean, those fines obviously worked as deterrents And to make sure this time, Pfizer will now have to run periodic studies on risk due to its marketing, and report directly to US Health Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius.Government stance :Pfizer fine 'should act as deterrent'
This should work, this kind of directly reporting to the gov system did wonders to stop problems with the banks .Oh.... wait.....
And again, no jail time for anybody involved
